I think the P411 is not terrible but would wonder if that's not showing more about something like verification of tricks over that of the provider. We always here about the guys needing some reference and the value of such verification services toward that.

Some girls give better service than others regardless of price point.  I don't know about your market, but in SoCal, there's a lot of PM's circulating on who's hot and who's not when it comes to service.  Since these are PM's, they're not showing up anywhere.

One number thrown around is that there are a million female sex workers in the US or 1 out of 150 women.  But that's NOT full time and includes AMPs etc.  Call it 1 out of 1000 full time/full service.  A guess.

British study indicated 3.6% of men paid for sex at least once in the last year.   Prostitution is legal in Britain (with some caveats...) but still far more accessible than here.  Figure 2% in this country or 2 out of a 100 guys.

Figure for the purposes of this that the number of women and men are roughly equal. I know there are slightly more women than men but with the accuracy of this exercise - they may as well be equal.  That assumption is not anywhere as bad as the others...  

So...  20:1.  But there is a lot of overlap.  Guys don't have one appointment a year on average.  Assume an average of 12 appointments per year. (wild ass guess).

So if there is such a thing as an average hooker and if the basis is right (BIG ASSUMPTION) - she's doing 240 appointments a year.  If you divide it out - it's 4 or 5 per week as an average.

I know the girls are just laughing their asses off right now...

Maybe some do it and I can't even believe you admitted to it (the poster TV responded to and that is whom I am answering to, I just agreed with TV)... I really can not believe you admitted to that!

HOWEVER there are those of us who don't. I have never once had a friend write a review of me. I have never badgered a guy to do one. I have never had the review "cleared by me" before he posts it. I have never threatened anyone for what they wrote nor have I ever lied to TER about a real review that I claimed was fake. I have never told a guy not to review me. I sure haven't told a guy what to put in a review nor what to rate me.

Some of us gals do know how to keep things honest. What goes around comes around. Things get back channeled when you do stuff like that.

I simply say at the end of our time, if you enjoyed your time with me, I would appreciate a review. That's it.

Ladies in the business set their boundaries and they should be respected. Period.  

There are some ladies who do not like reviews and do not want them.  

You have people who are in the middle. They may welcome reviews but only within certain parameters.  

What I will say IS unfair is for a provider to be okay with reviews but only good ones. You can't be that way.  

I do not mind reviews but I have simple guidelines for how you talk about me and what you say. If you want to review me all I ask is that you send it to me ahead of time, you don't even have to tell me the score. I put my all into every appointment, my hygiene and attire is impeccable, I don't show up drunk or obviously under the influence, I treat every client like royalty and fuck them like a pornstar in whatever way they like to be fucked so the likelihood of me getting a "bad" score is slim to none anyway I just don't want you to say something that could compromise my identity or set unwelcome expectations.  

E.g I have a regular who i am comfortable doing more with than I would want him to indicate in a review. The last thing I want is a new friend to read about the bdsm activities we do in our session and think he will be able to replicate a session I'm able to have with someone I've seen consistently for months and built a significant rapport with.  
I also have a sensitive career outside of being a companion and I have several identifying features. I once had to ask someone to redact his mention of how I walk... I have a distinguishable walk and I felt a bit uncomfortable with him describing it the way he did. The same with tattoos. He was a journalist by trade so of course he is use to writing in such explicit detail, but it was a serious threat to my privacy. How many Black and Persian women are walking around in DC who walk like I do and have the same tattoo as I do? None.  

At the end of the day clients can post reviews without a provider's consent. I've had a client do so. It happens all the time. So provider rules are arbitrary in the grand scheme of things. But you should know the provider's review policy and act accordingly.

I respect everything you said and I appreciate honesty and respect.  It is a little cheeky though, just like anything that has reviews.  Look at any app store, it's obvious that the people making the apps are giving themselves great reviews.  It seems a bit more regulated here but any provider could make a ton of random fake emails and give themselves whatever reviews they want.  I stay away from the ones that have really heavily mixed reviews.  Even if there's like 5 great reviews and 1 really shitty one, I'm like eh probably not.  Most people aren't honest, especially when it comes to business.

I had no idea what I was doing when I started hobbying and I got burned by fakes and liars.  I kind of figured my own way a bit for a while but now with TER I have a lot more confidence in my choices.  Even still, I can't ever be absolutely sure.  Maybe I get a faker, maybe it's just bad chemistry, I really can't know beforehand.  I've literally had providers tell me, after I'd arrived, that they had a rough night or they were hungover or even if they didn't tell me but they seemed distant or distracted.  If it's not the right time then reschedule.  Even if I just want something for now and I go to someone else, it's much better for the provider to make a raincheck than to give a terrible performance and kill any chance of a repeat client. These discussion boards help a lot.  It's always best if you can get to know someone a little before you meet them.

I'm on record as one of Turbay's reviewers  I'm not a friend (though I wish I was) as she surely has better taste than that lol ... I'm just a guy who left a whole lot happier than when I arrived.  I think most reviewers follow this approach

I believe there is a boom in the industry right now. And so are the SWs busy enough to keep in business?
I have seen on twitter that some touring women cancel tours from lack of pre-booking.
I contacted a woman in Seattle and she said she wouldn't come to DC because it was a bad market.
I think there is stiff competition.
Some are very busy and screening takes a long time.
Some will see you at the drop of a hat, which doesn't necessarily mean they are not busy.
Some make themselves available only on nights and weekends.

In the end, it is impossible to know the answer to the question as I see the question.

I have found that some gents prefer either to not write reviews at all (bc of time/ discretion/ just plain not into it) but rely on them when determining who to spend time with or kind of live for it in a way. Some ladies prefer not to be reviewed or only reviewed by certain gents. It's really hard to pin down a universal reason why some have a steady flow of reviews and some do not. Incentives to write reviews are not unheard of as well. Food for thought

The ratio can't possibly be 1:1, because most providers would be able to support themselves without getting a real job.

Many years ago, I got into a relationship with my atf at that time. I had a lot of questions about her work, and she liked being able to talk freely about it. She said that she could reliably make at least $2,000 a week, and that was at a time when $200 an hour was an average outcall price. She was pretty average quality (aside from the chemistry that we shared), so  there were likely providers who were getting more or less business than that. So, ten calls a week, maybe more, and she was taking a week off each month. That suggests a ratio of at least 30:1, probably higher considering some agency girls were working a lot of appointments.

Of course, that was at a specific time when the economy was good. The ratio was probably significantly lower in 2011, for example. When times get hard for everybody, there are probably fewer johns with money to spend, and more providers looking to at least supplement their wages or unemployment checks.

Please remember I am pulling these number right out of my ass for illustrative purposes.

Lets suppose the "average" hooker sees one client a day or lets say 20 clients a month and the average trick sees one hooker every two weeks, or 2 hookers a month, this would make for a 10-1 hooker to john ratio.

Now if we could only agree on just what the "average" number of sessions a typical hooker or john has each month. Lots of luck on that though.

I'll admit that I fall into the first category you describe.  I dislike the requirements for the "Details".  I don't even care to read that section. The reviews I did write were because most were either new or hadn't had one for a period of time. I'll sometimes offer, but with some reluctance.

I just was curious about it.

The few I know where I've heard actual income numbers are:

$80K for touring 1 week/month, rate was $400/hour at that time.

A TER national top 10, earning $20K/month, working about 1 week touring, and a little in her home town, rate is $700/hour (and she's worth it!). She doesn't make 12*20=$240K because she only works about 9 months/year, but still around $180K.

A local 9+ provider, who tours about 1 week month, around $70K with a $500/hour rate.

So, what does this all mean about client/provider ratio? Well, we don't know, but we can calculate the number of billable hours from the rates and the income. So we get for the 3 above:

1. 200 billable hours.
2. 257 billable hours.
3. 140 billable hours.

So, are these distinct appointments with 140-257 clients each year? No, because guys repeat and some appointments are more than 1 hour. For instance, with #1 above, I was seeing her monthly, and the same with #3.

Roughly, I think 100:1 client/provider ratio is an upper bound for "high end" ladies who have regulars and clients who book longer appointments. I doubt it could be as low as 10:1, because that would imply every guy repeating every month to generate the providers income.
