Responded to an ad and the provider emailed me quickly asking for my screening info. Gave her all the real info and three references that could vouch for my excellent reputation. It has been two weeks and she hasnt responded. Should I follow up or give up?
If not, I wonder if the screening information and references may have gone into her junk mail folder, and she doesn't even know you sent it.
In my opinion, two weeks seems like a very long time, if I had been in your shoes, I would have followed up sooner. At least try to verify that she read your email.
Either she doesn't need any business right now, or she doesn't want YOUR business. If this happened to me, I would email her and tell her I have decided to go two hours. If she then quickly gets back to you, then you know she gives priority to longer appointments. If she still doesn't respond, then she doesn't want YOU business, which usually means your refs did not respond, or else one of them gave you a black eye. Could be something else, but this would be how I would approach it.
