not a techie...need help with logout on Windows 8.1

Sorry -- don't know where else to ask.  I have a new touchscreen Windows 8.1 laptop and I get logged out randomly, and often.  It is getting a little annoying.  Any help from anyone with settings advice or advice on where to look for a solution would be appreciated.

Try a different browser

It would not surprise me that the issue might be IE11. I would recommend downloading and installing a different browser like Firefox to see if that make any difference.

Firefox and Chrome are two good browsers available for free download...

IE is a dinosaur... the most regressive, glocky browser out there. Use it, and you WILL have problems on one site or another.
