Extra time would motivate me

In my experience, Specials seem like a "bargain" but rarely are for the same time & service.  Usually the ads have Special plastered all over it but leave out the details.  When you want the full product, I seldom find the final cost has changed.
So I pretty much ignore "Specials"...  if anything I shy away from gals who use the advertizing technique.

that's just my experience. I don't do public specials, but of course I take care of the guys who take care of me in private. I also don't give money off, but I will give extra time instread. Time won't pay my bills, but money does.

If you try to raise back up after the special it takes a long time of guys doing the "waiting game" to see if you lower before they realize you wont, before they call

so

specials do you no favors

Once again...Economics 101...the law of supply and demand always will dictate prices and quality

More than lower cost, which I would tend to believe would come with a more reduced experience.

Whenever I see a provider running a special while skimming through ads, A red flag usually sparks my attention that she's probably not worth the visit, otherwise she wouldn't have to run the special.

To use an analogy as an example, it's like if I go to a Lexus dealership and I see all the fine ass rides in the lot. I look around and I spot a nice Lexus, but notice it's marked down in price. Automatically I assume it's marked down for a reason because it has to have something wrong with it.

Obviously, this is not always the case, but that's how I tend to look at provider "specials"

The only specials I offer are chunks of time for reduced rate and it doesn't change any of my regular offers...for example, it's PFD season here which means everyone is getting a check/chunk of change and the whole town runs specials on everything from cars to tools and I actually heard a commercial for buying a 100 pizzas at a reduced rate to throw a pizza party, ha ha...I offer a chunk of time for a little savings that is not usually on offer and my regular hour is still the same...if they had requested the hours without the special it would have cost more...I think it's win/win because it encourages clients to book a longer time that they might not have booked if they were doing hourly rate...later after PFDs it might be called the holiday season special, lol.
I think a lot of ladies who offer specials mean reduced time so you don't have to pay for a whole hour and that's not my bag, but whatever floats your boat.

I think that additional time would be the thing that would attract me particularly if I were a repeat customer. It seems that taking care of one's best customers would make good business sense. I agree that discounted pricing is a negative. I do have a floor on pricing that eliminates the "low priced spread". By and large my experience is that you get what you pay for.

Caitlyn,

Both of my ATFs have been running their specials with me for over 2 years now. Of course, they don't advertise their "Preferred" client specials. Once they got to know me, they dropped their rates without me asking.

I live in a resort area, where specials are common during the summer months, even among the top providers. When the tourists stop coming, and the locals go away to avoid the heat, specials occur.
I do not consider specials desperation or negative by any means and frequently take advantage of them.

It is one thing if the girl has always been candid about who she is and what she wants out of this business, but when you see the ones screaming about how Elite they are then running a special every week, makes you wonder. I don't think there has to be something 'wrong' with her, but I would imagine it blows that HDH image all to shit.

It is the same thing with women who claim they don't offer hours because "they want to get to know you better," then their business drops and they are offering an hour lol. If she really wanted to get to know you, she would just give you the extra time bwahahaha. I will flat out say I don't offer an hour anymore, because they are too rushed and not worth the hassle. You will also note that my 90 min. rate is what my hourly used to be, so I did not go up on the price...just the time.

I don't discount at home period, unless it's a guy I have seen for a long time. For me to work at home, it takes 3 times as much effort as opposed to touring when I am set up in a hotel ready to work for x amount of days. I tend to offer more incentives when touring, but usually only a pre-booking special. I can tell you...this has worked big time.

who don't clarify that. You have guys seeing an ad for a special that is still running, but she did not put the end date in the actual ad. Now, a month later guys are still thinking the special is on and are pissed to find out it's not. I have a friend who designates one day a week for a special, and it has worked great for her. She says something like, "Every Monday is 50 dollrs off day" and that is the ONLY day you can get that break. I think doing things like that, is better than just having one that runs for weeks at a time. If a guy wants a price break, he has one day a week to get it or tough luck lol.

Many women also do an "Early Bird" special because they work a regular job. If you see them from say 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. it's cheaper.

I saw a girl's website recently that had "Steak and BJ" day, and thought...hmmm, that's cute, considering she was also a gfe provider. What did she do? She allowed guys who could not afford to see her at the gfe rate, a chance to at least get some relief and also get the word out about her. I do wonder how many will haggle her for fs when they arrive though.
