Etiquette pages....

...the "etiquette" section of some ladies sites? I am re-doing my site as we speak, with the help of a good friend who has designed a few site for working girls before and he asked me if I wanted to include a page for proper session conduct, as many ladies do, and I said no, at first, because I think its a silly and insulting thing to put on your site-- but I was wondering how the guys felt?

Do you like being told to shower beforehand, and brush your teeth, and not drink too much, and so on? I mean I can understand instructing how to pay for your session, or maybe requesting no smoking for health reasons, but I mean if a lady gives you basic daily hygiene instructions, do you get a little offended; do you not care; or do you appreciate knowing her preferences?

I know that you're asking the guys but it's my guess that they are interested primarily in the gallery page and the donation page. But, a good question, I'd like to see the responses.

Those of us who shower, brush our teeth, and show up sober for a liaison know exactly why you need to mention such things...

...those who don't...well, they're the only ones who are going to be offended, and you probably don't want to see them anyway...

So I don't see a problem with having such a section.

That I take those things for granted, I mean soap, and water, teeth brushing... now I can't say that any of these offend... FAQ or etiquette warnings bother me, but I also believe in truth in advertising and if a lady takes the trouble to spelling out her likes/dislike... what do they say, " a word to the wise..."

I wish more ladies would be explicit. This goes to the recent threads regarding race, etc. If you something or someone doesn't float your boat, why not say it up front...?

When I first started trying to find out how to participate in the hobby I really appreciated sections on etiquette, advice for newbies and the like. One thing that varies from person to person is cologne on men and I think if you don't want lingering scent or just don't like fragrences you need to say so. So my vote would be to have it around.
But there is a second reason, which is more along the lines of a business case.  Any time you can manage people's expectations you decrease the chances of an upset, miscommunication, public relations mess or p*ssing people off.

Until I read one the other day that explained/stated that it could have a direct on a really good GFE sessions if she had to hold her breath the whole time. I thought it made a very nice point. 1/2 day at work = 1/2 day sweat and so on.
Guys read reviews and wonder why one Hobbyist session is different than his. I think it is appropriate to say it up front and explain in a nice way even if it is so simple as to say good hygiene = better time.

that it is necessary to instruct some guys how to behave.

But, I hear it over and over from the ladies I know that they continually have guys show up for an appointment drunk, stinky, smelling of smoke, having not brushed their teeth, being rude, etc.

Come on guys, get a clue!!!

Learn how to treat a lady!

Just my opinion...

I especially like the providers who say something like:  I expect my clients to arrive showered, sober, on time etc, becauese I will do the same for you.  Emphasis on the fact that it is a two way street, treat others as you expect to be treated.

I think you should go with your instinct and include an etiquette section. The quality hobbyists will have a better indication that you are a quality provider and it may reduce your need to deal with guys that you would rather not have to (rude, not showered, arrive drunk, etc)

My two cents

. . . that tells me something about the lady, that she is safety conscious and clean.

Perhaps you should recommend us a brand of body-wash and colgne as well. :-)

Just offer the guy an erotic shower instead and bring some soap ;)  On the other hand maybe too many guys will stop showering altogether.

Someone already said it. If they don't already know it, you don't want to see them.

Hey Dani:

Being the one hobbyist on the planet that actually reads everything in the providers web site, I prefer all relevent issues to be spelled out. I want to know what will allow a date to work best for me.  If I don't like the terms I'll click to a better choice for me.  So I like the details.

That said, I'll comment that all to often the provider allows the discussion of the "ground rules" to be condecending and rude.  I'd recommend that you include a discussion of these items, but take care to get the communication positioned right. You can tell sometone to take a shower and insult them, or inspire them.  See what I mean:

"You must show for the appointment clean", or

"I like my man to be fresh and clean smelling because it really gets me going, so if you don't have time to shower and shave before you arrive, you can take care of that here (be sure and allow for more time in your booking) ... I'll even scrub your back ... but nothing happens until my man is squeaky clean ... clean means a great GFE date with me."

Willing to get wet!

I think the part of a site that is most likely not to be well appreciated is the "wish list".  Some ladies list all kinds of websites, specific stores, really expensive items.  It makes the gifts that many of us are anxious to bring seem cheap and expect to be ill received. To mention your various size requirements, favorite color, and general information is great, but sometimes you're made to feel that you are applying for a job.  Larger pictures are great and a good manners page is very appropriate.  Anoter thing, and I don't mean to be negative, because I'm not but if the donation sections has the term "starts at...", I look elsewhere.

A general statement is good -- perhaps provide toothbrushes, mouthwash, and soap allowing time off the clock to use them if necessary.

Just a general opinion... Most "gentlemen" already know proper session etiquette while those who really should read an etiquette page, don't.  Unless you have specific unique concerns, i.e. allergic reactions to certain colognes, cigarette smoke etc., you are just wasting webspace posting an etiquette page. Like I said, the clients who should read it are the kind who won't... and if they do, they won't abide by it anyway.

. . . want to do the right thing, from reading the "FAQ for Newbies" board. An etiquette page would help them, not only with that partcular potential date but with his future dates as well.

lady would have a good time with someone who smells like my absurd alias? LOL  It is laughable that this needs to be said on virtually ALL ladies websites! Why not post that "axe murderers, terrorists, pick pockets, and psychopaths, are also unwelcome?  If a guy is a filthy pig, kick his putrid ass out the door, and tell him, that he is putrid. Then, PM your provider friends, and warn them about this walking  talking "Pig Pen".

I think it is all in the wording. You seem like a kind, conscientious person and should have no trouble getting your thoughts across in a kind and classy way. There are some sites out there that have ettiquette pages that almost ridicule hobbyists. I dont think those ladies grasp how much business they lose in those situations.

every woman seems to think that her standards are universal - or maybe that's the way we react to her tone of voice.

But when you're seeing X people/day, you might expect some variation - certainly we see that among ladies, eg, those who won't even think of traveling the Hershey Highway, those who want a douche, and those who make it as filthy as they can, because for them, that's the point.

We have been to providers who want us to shower 20 minutes after we got out of the shower before the appointment.   IOW, hypersensitive providers (women who respond to the SLIGHTEST odor seem to be much more common than men, and we aren't sure how much is training and how much is temperament) are almost as common as goat-men.   So there's really no universal standards.

It seems that a recipe/instruction manual might not be as useful as a simple inspection process - ie, a provider checks out her date and tells him what she wants - a shower, etc, whatever.

Men are going to respond variably as women.   So there's just no telling.

If you have them, put them on the site.

Dopes who don't think to be clean for the session will bitch and moan and post negative reviews, etc.  Posting your preferences won't stop the bitching, but it will help you deflect the smelly pigs and stand up for yourself later.

btw - you look like a HOT SLUT (i mean that in the most positive way!).

I've never done an incall, it's always been at my motel room where I've had plenty of time to prepare and get squeeky clean before she shows up.  This may, then, seem like a very simplistic question:  Is it not typical that I would be offered time and opportunity and to clean up at a provider's facility before we begin??

and who knows that he's an offender?  almost by definition not.

Perhaps it makes most sense for the provider to realize that instructions are probably largely pointless, for the reasons above.

It's a given that if I show up at your door, or you at mine, I will have showered, shaved and brushed my teeth less than 1/2 hour before.  The etiquette page is where I will go to see if there is a particular way that you prefer to receive the "donation".
If your experience shows that it is necessary to ask men to be clean, well that is indeed sad but so be it...
Not offended at all unless, as was mentioned above, the list is exeedingly long, or less than polite.

....and I always have included one, and thanks to some very nice gentlemen I have received some very nice, appropriate, gifts that are exactly what I like. A wish list is very important to me... I do not at all insist, desire, or even expect a present-- but its always a lovely, refreshing surprise... but its even better when its exactly what I like!

next to godliness and godliness generally equals a GFE session.  All of us were newbies at one time, for these guys, spell it out.

less than give it my all session was when a "gent" in Toronto turned up smelly. I hinted at the shower but he didn't think he needed it and would not take one. Believe me he did and it highly impacted my performance. He left pissed. I could have cared less at that point and for those of you who know me, that's not my style. It all boils down to respect. If I take the time to be fresh and sweet for my guys then they should be fresh and sweet for me. I just smile and say..."wouldn't you like to take a shower honey after being at work all day?" If he doesn't take the hint then we're taking a shower together. LOL

Not repeating Toronto.

Smiles and Kisses,
Anneke
