One of the things that amazes is how some providers bring up religion chat-chat during sessions. I never bring up the topic. You can tell they feel remorseful about being a provider. I have heard all types of coments and they usually bring out guilt in both parties. I had one provider walk in the room and tell me "Oh this is so wrong". Later on I found out that she was married. I had one call me the devil because I was so kinky and wild. Others tell me "before I die, I will tell my mother I was a provider". Some will remove there crosses before performing service in front you. Is sex so good that a provider and client can have a spirtual/soul connection resulting in the religion chit-chat ?

Wouldn't religion chit-chat be the mutual discussion of different customs and traditions within the various religions?  Actively praying or otherwise redeeming oneself in front of a client is something else entirely.  Are you from an area that is heavily religious or are you in a profession surrounding religion?  Do you bring it up or ask questions?

Huh, weird.

Best,

Kate

The lady who taught me this business was very clear on this point: Never, ever discuss religion or politics with a client, at least on the first date.

These are subjects that are highly emotionally charged, and almost everyone has a strong opinion about. I was told that you risk losing business by discussing either one.

People come to see escorts in order to enjoy themselves, not receive a sermon... or to be reminded of why they should be feeling guilty.

And politics... that can ruin anyone's good time!

Personally, I say stick to the fun topics and leave the guilt and unpleasantness outside the door. But that's me...

Next to showing off pictures of my wife and kids, talking to a provider about religion and/or politics is the last thing on my mind. Really, what are people thinking of when these things happen? There should be an official code of conduct or something.

Now there are two loaded subjects, so to speak.

OK, so do I hear about religion while in the sack?  All the time.

Usually it is just a mention of a church the lady finds meaningful or discussion of some custom.  Less common are discussions of deeply held beliefs.

I have also had deep discussions on important ethical-religious subjects, such as why monotheism has led to intolerance or how the Holocaust should help guide ethical behavior to prevent hate and violence towards others.  I have often found the ladies I have come to know well to be informed and thoughtful.

Politics? Well that is for another thread.

The key point here is that at times I have formed deep relationships with women where we have discussed many things indeed.

...so I'll put my head in the pillow when I need to get 'vocal!'

I like to learn about the person I'm with but I also like to keep it light.  I've found when the gents do most of the talking, it gives me the opportunity to learn more about them.  It's all good because it just makes the next meeting even better!

I've never understood why the topic of religion needs to carry the burdon of guilt, but topics of sin don't... Why are so many people afraid to talk about God? It's not as though you can hide from him simply by not discussing him! And for the atheist, why typically is it so uncomfortable to discuss something that you don't believe is real? It seems most people can openly discuss any world religion that they don't believe in themselves without apprehension, but if "Christianity" is brought up, then then they, either feel hostile or guilty, why is that???

especially since you've been dead for 18 years!
I mean, if you'd have only been dead for a day or two, I can see Tom doing that, but it is seriously disturbing that you still make him do that now!

currently on the streets of Beiruit and Bagdad.  Just a cartoon that is taken with offense is enough to set off a mob.
How about Christians?  Look at Belfast.
Hindus and Sikhs, Buddists?  Well, you can discuss religion with Buddists, OK?  But not with any of the rest of them.
(Reform Judaism OK too, we're all wimps. Stay away from the  Orthodox though, they're crazy!)

But I have never met an "Orthodox provider" yet, so I haven't been able to try discussing it with her...

"Bellfast" is a rather narrow example of Christianity as a whole...

And you are right about the Buddists! I have met several Asian providers over the years that I have found to be open and eager to share and gain religious understanding...

I've only known one Hindu provider by which to compare, and she was so open and willing in every area of life, I can't imagine what it would take to make her hostile!

As far as "Islamic religions".... Well, Actually I have never met anyone from that religion or culture (with an alias like "Zionist" You can probably guess why - lol!) And all I know of them is what I read about and see on the news...

then again, the born-again christians of our good old USA aren't exactly known for their tolerance.
I may a bit out of line with regard to Orthodox Judaism, but I have had my experiences with them enough to not want to "go there", I you know what I mean.
I take it that you are an Orthodox Jew?
How refreshing and impressive to find you here.
I was in Bali several months ago, and learned a lot of Hinduism there and was very impressed by it.  I have known a provider who is of Indian descent and we spoke about that religion a bit, but she is now a Christian and no longer practices escorting (but she make an exception for me, bless her.)

I have a great love for Israel and respect for the abrahamic covenant.
I'm a "Wild Olive branch grafted into the cultivated tree",,, so-to-speak...
This hobby has been part of my life for near 20 years, and my life has on many levels been a "quest". It continues that way even today and since "hobbying" is so central to my life, I guess it's not so unusual that my quest for truth overlaps into it so often.
"Born-again Christianity" is a mysterious thing, and in it's most raw anf pure form, is rather "tolerant" - But when it is mixed with the "doctrine and dogma" of 2000 years and endless attempts to translate words without cultural undrstanding of the writers of those words, it loses it's "saltyness".... (just my humble opinion)

(this alias was the best I could do in translating my real handle - lol!)

I have been known to call upon *God* (or a higher power if you will...) during certain times during a session... ;-)~

And for me, sex is a part of my spirituality...so I speak it in one form or another during every session. :-)

Is that before or after I see them in the bedroom?  The ladies need to know ...

I just tell her I have the "Key To Heaven" and she has the "Lock"

New at this and after reading reviews here I finally contacted a delightful lady.  A big downer, however, was getting unsolicited views on politics, religion and a graphic description of what happens in an abortion of a fetus at 10 weeks.
My socialization has been to let someone finish talking and then politely change the subject.  Someone mentioned in another post about the hobby being empowering, which is true for me.  This kind of talk has the opposite effect, however.  More like a hostage situation.  MMDV (My mileage did vary).

I once had a provider tell me she was a church secretary just before she went down on me. Kinda kinky--I kinda liked it.
