I don’t know where to draw the line, but that guy crossed it for sure. He’s lucky YOU didn’t call the sherriff on him and charge him with sexual assault.

Would immediately blacklist and with that type of behavior not sure if would even try to keep the donation as you had more then enough physical abuse all ready. Other providers I would hope would not inform him of blacklist. With any sort of luck he is P411 and should also be reported there.

TER PO board, name him there.  It will be appreciated by the other ladies who may get an appointment request from him. It's hard to do much after the fact, but prevention by circulating his name among blacklists is the best way to handle this.

I know how easy it is to get back listed but if not for a situation like this, what's a black list for? I also Agee with CDL's advice re the PO Board.

There are predators out there. I have to agree with the advice to at least blacklist him. Not only will he do this again, he will do worse; if he's not stopped.

You should have called LE. This is assault and sexual assault. Hopefully, it will never happen again, but if it does, report it. If it isn't too long ago, report this one.

Lave out the money part when talking to LE. However, if questioned under oath or in interviews, admit it, but don't volunteer it. It will help make the case, and you are probably not the only one. It doesn't change the fact that he committed violent felonies against you, and decent LE agencies will focus on the non-victimless and more serious crimes rather than any victimless offenses that you never carried out anyway.

She should disclose as little as possible, but be truthful in what she discloses. Sexual assault against sex workers is all too common, and they are used to it. At least in most big metro areas, they won't try to re-victimizer her by pursuing her. They want to get the felon, not the little (girl) fish, especially if they are discrete and professional. Anyway, having a website is not a legal offense. It would be embarrassing, but it would get a thug out of circulation.

It mostly gets prosecuted when it becomes a quality of life issue for the neighbors (e.g., streetwalkers, dozens of men per week coming to her apartment, making a scene in a hotel restaurant in front of Joe, Mary, and the kids from Des Moines, etc.)

At any rate, he was bluffing or stupid by threatening to go to the sheriff. He would have ended up on the short end of that stick if he actually did it even if it did her no good.

I doubt a law enforcement agency would bring prostitution charges against the victim of a sexual assault. That said, if she were to pursue legal action against the guy, it would be wise for her to hire a local attorney with experience defending sex workers, a former prosecutor, or ideally both.

I hope you blacklist his ass.

Also, I agree that violence and robbery should be pursued by all available avenues to see some justice served.

I would call LE and report it, and out his name on the PO board.

Demand you money back, and if he does not comply, out him to his wife and employer. Yes, I have no patience or mercy for violent abusers and thieves.

I agree with most of what is said but would suggest stopping before going after the guys other life (family and work). Backing anyone into a corner they cannot get out of or pretty much putting them in a position where they simply have nothing further to loose makes for a very dangerous situation.

Getting him banned from seeing others (that don't like the type of stuff he does) is enough. Reporting the felony to the police is also good -- and could create some issues for both work and family. Moreover, if he is a bad as said, then he will be showing that to coworkers and family so let them address those issues in the way they think best. People tend to make their own destinies so why should the victim here put herself in greater dangers than needed.

Not knowing who would bite and whether they would know what they are talking about.  I disagree with you completely.  I was dating a provider five years ago that had this exact situation.  She lived in LA and maintained an incall in San Jose where the easy tech money is plentiful.  She flew up Monday morning and back on Friday night for the weekend with me.  She was physically roughed up by a customer who also took back his donation and the money from another customer earlier in the day, total $1000.  She had a couple of small bruises but nothing that would not heal in a few days.  She called the police, who came out to take her statement and gather evidence.  Disclosing as little as possible in this situation is just not possible without making false statements to the police.

She explained what happened and after the investigation they charged her for solicitation because she admitted the way she knew him was as a sex customer and that she was being paid for her services.  (If she withheld this info and told them something else, then they get it from the perp, then she can be charged with making a false statement to the police.)  There was so much male DNA and so many fingerprints at the incall, they told her that it may take awhile to  isolate the evidence that puts him at the scene.  They eventually isolated some DNA and got a match on a guy at the address she had for him.  He plead out for a fine (which goes to the county, not the vicitm), 15 days in the clink and probation. Anybody here think that's enough to deter this guy from doing this again?  Who knows if any of the other guys who had DNA or fingerprints there were bothered by the police.  If they were embarrassed by being questioned, that's just collateral damage.

Next step is what CKS suggests.  Hire a good local lawyer.  Her lawyer was able to make a plea deal as an assault victim for no jail time and two year's probation and attendance at the county hooker-aversion school for 40 hours, which mitigated the charges against her.   If she completed the school and had no arrests for two years, she could ask that her record be expunged, and it was, so she now has no record.

Total attorney bill for the case and the subsequent expungement of her record . . . . .$5500.  Cost of moving her incall, which had been exposed for what it was in the apartment complex during the police evidence gathering. . . . . $7500.  Now if you think that all of this is worth calling the police over rough sex, then go ahead and double down on your post, but my advice to providers in this situation is that if the damage is only a couple of bruises and mostly your pride that is hurt, shore up your screening, blacklist the guy, and move on.  In this case, it would have been a financial loss of only $1000.  Instead, it came to $14,000, PLUS 40 hours lost at sex-worker aversion therapy and having your name in the court system while you are on probation.   Being a crusader is expensive, as you can see from this real-life example.  OTOH, if you are assaulted to the point you need medical attention, then you have no other choice but to call 911.

Prostitution if they can prove it is a misdemeanor.  Don't listen to the trolls here. You should never feel humiliated, or ashamed when your clearly the victim. I would never let a man take advantage of me. Call the police, or take matters into your own hands. Don't ever be scared, or live in fear. Blacklist him he's a threat to everyone. Sharing is caring. FDB.

that I did above with my example.  You are the only one that can assess if the potential price you will pay in loss of your privacy on what you do for a living is going to be worth it for the perceived benefit.  Obviously, if you were beaten so badly you couldn't work for a month, that could potentially be worth a lot of money in a civil suit, IF he has any money, but just be aware that the opposing attorney is going to do everything he/she can to put your life as an escort on public display, and he/she will make it look as sordid and dirty as they can.  On the other hand, if you had a few bruises that healed in less than a week, and it did not cause you to lose work for more than a day or two, then it might not be worth turning your whole life upside down and having everyone you know find out about your business.  It's your call.  If you have already blacklisted him and are spreading the word about this guy to other providers, then you are doing your part to make sure you are the last provider he gets rough with.  If he can't get an appointment with anyone, he can't hurt anyone.

if you knew what you were talking about.  Since you don't, it's reckless.  You're escorting in California, where it is indeed a misdemeanor if convicted, but even as a misdemeanor, the penalties can be pretty stiff.  6 months in jail for a first offense and 12 months for a second offense.  However, it's a felony in certain states with penalties up to 6 years in prison for a first offense.  Texas is a prime example.  In some states, like Washington, it's a misdemeanor unless you are also "promoting" prostitution, which can be as simple as having a website.  It's reckless to go on a national discussion board and tell providers that it's only a misdemeanor without telling them it could be a felony depending on the jurisdiction and local laws.  Even calling the police in states where it's a misdemeanor, can potentially result in jail time, fines, reporting for probation, having a police record, hooker school, or some other community service requirements if they also decide to charge you for soliciting for prostitution.  If that's worth it to you to report a guy for rough sex, then by all means, call the police.  The girls I know that have done that for a bruise or two have ended up regretting it because of the negative attention it brings to them.  At the very least, the publicity causes a loss of all of your regular customers, which is dependable cash flow for most providers.   Usually, providers calling police over what ends up amounting to a battery and not an assault, are more pissed that they were robbed of the money they made from paid sex, but that is not something the police will be very sympathetic about.

With that said, if someone legitimately beats you up where you need medical attention, call 911, who will take you to the emergency room and let the hospital be the ones to notify the police.  It presents a more sympathetic picture that way and you are less likely to be charged with anything, but there is still the publicity to contend with.

You’ve done everything you can to this point
1. Blacklisted him
2. Notified his references
3. Called police

You also mentioned having been in contact with “your lawyer”. But was it a lawyer in that jurisdiction, or your lawyer back home?

You may have made a false statement to the police, and for that reason, in order to reduce your criminal exposure, I would refrain from further contact with the police unless you’ve retained a lawyer in the jurisdiction where the assault and report occurred.

I understand you’ve been through a traumatic experience, and would caution you on getting advice from internet strangers on that aspect of this ordeal. You might want to consider consulting with a therapist, or contacting a rape crisis center for some free assistance.

Now mumble something in French for all of us..

Sorry for whatever happened to you... if it happened.  I wasn't there so can't confirm one way or other.

I don't hate women, neither do I put them on pedestals. I can be equally mean and snarky with dudes as can be with dudettes. Women who post on TER are a very small microcosm of women who are in the sex trade, and even a smaller microcosm of women out in the larger world.  Just because I dislike a person who is a woman, doesn't mean I dislike all women.  Not really that hard a concept.

I wasn’t implying you were stupid, that was somebody else.
I’m happy to hear that you consulted with a local attorney, your initial post didn’t say that.
I’m sorry that you think my opinion on what you told the police and what you withheld from police was stupid, but stand by my advice that you filter any subsequent contact with law enforcement on this matter with your lawyer.
Languages? English, Arabic, Spanish.
