Concerns of elitism come up every so often. Some people assume an escort is an elitist based on phrases used in her ad copy even if they have never actually met her (see an example below). When I read an escort's site, I don't assume she's an elitist based on her ad copy or words, because it's impossible to infer an attitude based on written text.

No one reads them anyhow, don't know how many times a guy says "oh I didn't read that", just be basic I have tits ass and give fantastic service end of.

I see it more as a matter of showing versus telling, maybe?  Really intelligent, sophisticated etc people don't need to shout about those things, it should be shown through their copy, blogs, photos, website.

Some providers like to portray themselves as social elites of some sort of caste system made up in their minds to show that they are not ordinary hookers. Most of the hookers who overemphasize about their education are dropouts, many of which have never needed a passport and own nothing but a little furniture and some clothes.

According to some, no one over 110 lbs and over 25 would ever be elite (Hi Panthera lol). According to others, no woman UNDER 35 would ever be considered a courtesan. Would I ever work the street corner? Hell no, but there is a huge market for women who do.  

-er I mean, don't shout out on the mountain tops what you can prove through your actions.

The line is often so thin:

Some person mentioning they have tons of money to whomever will listen. Really wealthy people don't advertise the fact. They don't have to, it is apparent.

Others actually do have the credentials. My view is that a guy is not looking at her educational resume, he is looking at her images, her rates and her reviews FIRST. If those match his criteria, then he meets her and then she can wow him in person with all her womanly wiles and intelligence

"I can hold a conversation on a variety of topics." Most human beings over the age of 6, can bwahahaha.  

I saw a young woman the other day. I was drawn in by her profile & pics, but the experience was a LOT less than advertised. Granted she's young..22 and is still getting her bearings in the industry. I get that. Didn't & may not review her, but probably an 8/6....max. I did break my mold, as I don't see too many younger than 27y/o... but my touring appointment cancelled her trip.

Yeah but wealthy people aren't selling their time and company, so when one is selling something, it helps to let people know what comes with the package.

You're right that one can show certain things via a blog or website, etc, but again, when selling one's time and company, I think it could be prudent to let prospective clients know as much about the package he's getting as possible, so he knows what to expect. The proof of the claims would be in the blog. Photos won't show an education (unless a degree is hanging on the wall in the background- lol!), and website copy can be outsourced.

How do these men know for certain that these terms are a true representation of the lady if he has not met her?  Unless of course she has been recommended in a close circle from gentlemen that have experienced her as being educated and well traveled.

I think you are coming from a different angle as in, you are appealing to the men that specifically want a lot more than the physical. Hence your addition of your accomplishments etc as well as your desire for longer dates.

In the course of researching making my first date with a provider, I read a hilarious review of some kid in his 20s, and he thought that the provider was elitist because she sounded "businesslike" on the phone, was older (in her 30s) than he, and drove a lexus. In the review he went on to say he had seen her two or three times and he like her donation, but he had to add the dig about how she was elitist and arrogant. Fkin kid.  

You're absolutely right! I didn't know that you didn't do dinner dates or overnights, which explains a lot about our divergence in opinions. But the great thing is that we are both happy with the gents we see and by all accounts they are happy with us.

Well, initially he probably doesn't. Most of my gents came via recommendations from other friends (both ladies and other gents), and we would correspond via email to get to know each other. The ones who find ladies online will actually put a good deal of time into reading her blog, website, and posts, and correspond with her extensively enough to gauge their compatibility. But if he's bookmarked several possible candidates, the ones who mention things like an education and travel experience may top the list as far as who gets contacted first. One of my peers had several degrees, and one was in engineering. She mentioned this on her website. A client we shared in common told me that he pursued time with her specifically because he also had a degree in engineering. Turns out they were in the same program at the same uni (albeit at different times). They spent a lot if time together, and the fact they had so much in common made that time extremely enjoyable for both.

Last paragraph is why I can't pull off "elegant" or "sophisticated" lol. Oh, and my posts telling people to fk off don't help either bwahahhahaa. I could easily pull off any image I wanted to, but I would never be able to post a word on TER or any review board for that matter, to do that. Eh well. My nicknames for a long time, were Bubbles and Ghetto Barbie.

I'm pretty certain I don't speak for every girl, but it occurred to me that she might use certain words and phrases, to hopefully weed out insecure assholes and to discourage trolls who live in the shallow end of the scum covered pond.  

I think it has to do a lot with the contradictions. Because soooooo many escorts make bs claims that are so damn obvious when you watch their posting habits, website text, etc. none of these labels really mean a thing. Elite Companion is the most over used phrase in our word, along with "I am selective." If you are going to portray an image, at least be smart enough to back it up. I love those who claim to be in grad school and working, yet post here all damn day begging for clients. When I was in grad school, I had a shit load of posts, but I also never saw more than 2 clients a damn week and did not work at all...plenty of time.  

So, would a phrase like "I don't cater to the bang for the buck types" be considered Elitist, because damn right I have that on my website lol.

I have no problem with escorts promoting themselves any way they like, I don't see it as "Elitism" to describe what they see as their strengths or positive side. Often escorts say they prefer to meet with gentleman who will treat them right. I'd say they're marketing themselves towards a particular style of punter. I'd rather that any day than the false and misleading comments some escorts make about themselves.

Again I don't want to put words in your mouth, but in using those phrases, you are hoping to discourage a would be 'bang for the bucker' and the asshat who would rather not live by your preferred requirements and time constraints. It's not too dissimilar from me quoting a contract for a potential pain in the ass client that is 40% higher than the services I provide for the client that has their sh!t together.  I'm not elitist, I'm simply empowering the potential PITA client to look elsewhere. Just because I don't need his or her business doesn't make me an elitist.  It make me successful.

 My fave was the hooker who claimed to have graduated from XYZ Univerisity...but inmmediately upon my arrival had to announce..."I didn't really go there...I hope that doesn't disappoint you".

  It wouldn't surprise me in the least if she'd rather spend time with guys that find her 'elitist' phrases to be something they are actually interested in.  
     
  Educated means she hopes that she doesn't have to carry the conversation all night and well traveled means that in case she does, she has a bunch of stories to tell that will hopefully make spending the evening with a banal dolt mildly entertaining.
