Please don't let me become aware of your habit. I will hunt your fucking ass down and put two in the back of fredo's head.

I must take leave(haven't decided if permenent  or not) to care for the Mrs. who has for so generously taken care of me.

She is home now and resting. Thanx goes out to those who have expressed their best wishes.

:-)  Emotionally distraught.

not something I'd wish on my worst enemies, let alone nice folks like OSP & the Mrs. Best of luck to them both.

And I echo his sentiments : drinking & driving is VERY stupid.

I remember telling myself and believing it,  many times in my youth.
I am very fortunate I didn't hurt someone, before I wised up.
I never got caught but I have seen enough friends cease to exist because of drunk driving, or drivers, I will call a cab.

I deducted she was driving sober, and innocent of wrong, because of  the OPs implied threat against drunk drivers.
You misunderstood my post.In your defense you are probably drunk.Read it again next month if you are sober.
In my youth, I "thought" I could drive fine even when I shouldn't.
My point about the cab, now that I have grown up and wised up about drinking and driving ,I take a cab  when I am drinking. Not for my safety, but for the safety of others.
Example, stopping at a bar on the way home to have one, and partaking of five,I take a cab .
When walking on the edge of the road, you should be facing traffic, when sober or drunk.
I only mention this because  a lot of dumb asses, have difficulty understanding  messages.
The same rule apply to runners, no matter how fast you think you are.

and I hope the dirtbag gets his due.

IMO we are often way too lenient on drunk drivers. Especially multiple offenders.

I have shared with the Mrs. ya'lls wishes. If not for her courage and strengnth, I would most likely be a basket case. There is plenty of aids around for her comfort.

I can't help feeling that i've let her down someway.

She got hit. She didn't do the hitting.

You, me, anybody, could be driving down the street and this happens.

You can be in a cab and get hit. 2 kids here lost their lives because they were in a cab New Years Eve. They did the right thing, but the other guy didn't.

I seriously drink at home. Noone to blame but myself.

when others have to pay for the ignorant! OSP I am sorry and my prayers are with you and yours! Its the whole family and friends who pay and its something that does not heal just hopefully gets easier with time.
It may not be much to some but will have a mass said for herits the only thing I can think of to do.
If you have any suggestions OSP please let us know it seeems like quite a few are genuinely concerned.

Its easy to point at the driving drunk crowd, but often its the hypocritical talking/texting on a cell phone crowd doing the pointing.  Doesn't leave a lot of appendages to steer.

I'm very sorry for your sudden life change.  I really hope she recovers well. As for the rest of us, we need to make sure that we do not drink and drive and when possible stop others from doing it.

My best wishes to you and MrsOSP for a speedy and complete recovery. Indeed, that is and should be your number one concern.

I haven't seen mention of any details but did they catch the culprit or was it hit and run? I hope they got the person and will get them off the streets for a long time.
