I am wondering what guys (gals can weigh in too) think about when a lady offers a special if you donate to charity. Example: 50 rose discount if you make a donation of ANY amount to a charity this month, bring in a receipt of your donation (I will not keep, just look).

With Thanksgiving coming up I think this is a good idea, but when I experimented with it no one and I mean NO ONE responded for the special. I mean, I even said "$5, $10, $50... any donation gets 50 off" in order to stimulate interest. Whats with the hesitation?

I would participate in an offer like yours where the donation goes directly to the charity rather than to the provider to pass along. It is not unheard of for providers to offer Toys for Tots specials where you recieve a discount if you bring her a toy that she can donate and the toys are passed out as personal gifts to family/ friends instead of being donated. Same with school supplies. I mean how low can a person go, to steal from charity.

fantastic idea..but i doubt most of the johns in this hobby are charitable..they mostly want the girls to be charitable to them..

as you can see, there were many replies to the question about FCs.  Nikki Irish in Vegas used to do discount for a contribution around the holidays. Keep trying maybe this holiday season you'll get some activity.

Whether a general donation or a gift to a specific cause that means something to the provider, I think that this is a very meaningful gesture and a nice way of giving us a glimpse into your personality and values.

This is not about charitable donations. None the less, I doubt many men will see the value in having to take the time to contribute to a charity in order to qualify for a 50$ off coupon.

If you really want to contribute to a charity why not just take your full donation, and then contribute the extra 50$'s to whatever charity you like?

offer up their favorite charity on their wishlist and even offer really large discounts for contributions...but general charity?  That doesn't make much sense...it's too broad.  If dude doesn't have a personal favorite charity and doesn't think in that way, where is he going to throw his money.  For example, do you know all this so called cancer research money goes to lab animal testing?  For animal lovers who know that cancer is already curable through diet, this is criminal...and yet it can be called charity.  Every time you buy something at Salvation Army it supports alcoholic recovery.  Can people bring you their salvation army reciepts and get a discount...see where I'm going with that?
Personally my take on why guys aren't taking you up on it is $50 means little to a fella who can drop a few bills on a lady with regularity...and the hassle of making a donation to a charity to get the receipt to redeem it, well that's just NOT what's on their mind.  To quote LR, men with hard dicks don't think straight (sorry, paraphrase) and probably aren't gonna add more to the list than the already inconvenient stop at the ATM  Just sayin.
I like hotplants idea...charge your full fee and donate what you like to charity.  Charity is a very personal thing. People should do it when they feel called to, not for a reward of some sort. I think it should really be done from the heart to get the full effects anyway...for example, a guy bugging you on the street for money, doesn't feel very effective to give him a dollar...going to the pizza shop around the corner and coming back with a whole pizza for him, that gives you the warm fuzzy feeling when his eyes light up.  Now if someone puts a can out saying throw your change in and we'll feed people, it's just so impersonal...this is how we all come to our own particular ways to be of service in the world.  I personally never feel like throwing money in someone else's cause is very helpful...I like the hand to hand approach.  I know people in my everyday life who can always use a little help, even if it's checking their mail or something nice like that.
Just a few thoughts on why people aren't diving in for that $50 coupon...not that it's not commendable of course...

50% of whats or less of what's donated to most charities is used towards the charity.  Trying to help the beneficiaries of these charities is like taking water to them in a basket.  Of all major charities, Shriner's Hospital tops the list with 95% of the money going to the hospitals. Think about it when donating to charities.

StarRider, I agree with you.  However, adapting a dog is a little different.   Or is it.  I see a way of paying less for a provider and getting a dog, what I don't realize ithere is a reason I don't already have a dog so that dog is getting a round trip.  My cost is the same for the provider or actually more, but I don't see it that way at first.  Now,  this might be the time to get a dog I've been thinking about it.  Why was I only thinking about it?

Now the provider has increased business by reducing her rates, which is going around this month, without appearing to do so. Always, a good business move. She is also appearing to be selfless in supporting a popular cause.  The one thing not thought out, I hope.  Is what you said StarRider, Men don't think with their big head when it comes to sex.  Adapting a dog they won't keep.

I call them like I see them.

... but unfortunately some people just don't get it.

I do have 2 wonderful charities that I give regularly and it would have been easy for me to get the reciept for that.

I do not know why some guys don't do that more often. Maybe they are thinking with the wrong head.

Take a look at Sethric's post and go to that provider's website. That will give you an idea how to handle that kind of charity giving.

Getting receipts for charities are very easy and it's tax deductible for the person who donated, too.

A percentage of my appointment income does go to charity, and I wanted gents to have the opportunity for the warm fuzzies inside when you do something good.

I do have a wishlist page on my site and have a few charities I am fond of listed on the site - charities I've looked into and feel good about giving to. I mentioned in my ad that you could donate to the charities I like or one you are fond of, so guys could potentially just donate to their regular charity and show me to receive the discount.

I ask that all cash tips go to charity and I have a list of the ones I support. I even had a gent write me out a check once that was sent straight there. I don't offer sex discounts, but I will offer extra time.

Charity = great idea.  But I think more might respond to something more specific related to the holidays coming up (ie. donation to a place the provides Thanksgiving meals for those in need)....Toys for Tots (which Leann in Minneapolis does).  

My siblings and I (5 total) stopped buying each other X-mas presents long ago.  We each throw in $100 and sponsor a family.  We get their wish list and all get together on a weekend to go shopping.  Then we go out for drinks and food.  We have a great time and most importantly, a family who can't afford Christmas gifts get to have Christmas.  

When you bring a toy to toys for tots, you know it's going to a kid in need.  When you donate to a charity, you're really not quite sure where that money will go.  It's not quite as tangible if you ask me.  It's just a guess as to why you didn't get more response.  

I will say I am consistently amazed at the number of providers who do things to give back.  Many in this business have giant hearts.  Very cool.

And re. your special, I still haven't worked up the courage to lose my hobbying virginity, but when I do and get a few reviews, you'll probably be hearing from me.  LOL.

But who do you really want to benefit the most from this 50$?

Say.... he donates 25$. A charity gets 25 bucks and he gets a net 25$ discount on your rate. Nothing wrong with that. You're down 50$ regardless.

OTOH, if you simply charge your normal rate, and donate the 50$ directly to a charity, he may or may not feel warm and fuzzy about it. But the upside is a charity actually gets the 50$.

I fairly frequently observe and occasionally interact with some of our brave veterans who have been horribly disfigured in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many of these young men (and even some young women) have lost their arms, legs and more... It is sad to see these young men with their young wives and babies, knowing that many will be unable to enjoy much of a physical/sexual relationship for the remainder of their lives, and you wonder how long these marriages might last when the young soldier/marine is so incapacitated and his young wife so beautiful with her whole life ahead of her. Perhaps more tragic is the young man who was so utterly incapacitated before he had a chance to marry and to have a family. Many of these brave young men will obviously have an enormously difficult time attracting and being with a woman, even if they are physically intact there. It brings a tear or two to even my old soldier's eyes to think how many of these guys would really appreciate a beautiful young woman paying attention to them, talking to them, holding their hands, holding them in her arms,  kissing them, caressing them... bringing back feelings and emotions that they probably think they may never ever have again...

All this leads to the question of whether any providers out there are seeing, helping, servicing to the needs of these fine young men, these heroes whose lives have been so drastically and dramatically changed in their service to our country and to the ideals that we, as a nation, stand for? Are any of you catering to their needs, perhaps offering any of them a
discount? Just something to think about as Veterans Day approaches.

But I recently came across Kira Arrogovna's site where she has a few packages where she'll donate half the amount to Romney's campaign. On the longer package it looks like she only added 200 to the "regular" donation amount for that time period.

I can't say that I would offer anything of the sort, but it's certainly unique. I fully admire her because of both it's uniqueness and her obvious dedication to it.
