And, he can only write one review, and since he never met with you, technically he can't write a review on you. Keep an eye on your reviews, and if one looks suspicious, alert admin. Even if he gets one through, I doubt if it will be taken seriously, especially if he doesn't have a solid review history.

Call it a part of this crazy life and as was suggested, keep a file on him if the threats elevate. As for reviews, if the preponderance of your reviews are good, most hobbyists will treat it as an outlier. Be brave enough to post with your real info because there are strengths in numbers. Having people on the board know your true circumstances can also be a blessing just in case someone knows this creep and you could at least get PMs from people that may be in a position to help. Good luck.

You have consistantly great reviews. If he posts a negative review and I found you on TER, I would discount his review as 1) either a fake or 2) on the chance you were having an off day, which all of us have at times.

I WOULD NOT discount seeing you because of one out-of-the-blue bad review.

I had an altercation last night with a would be client,
Which never happened because I told him not to bother.
So he threatens to start writing bad reviews. Does this happen often?
For every few good men, there always seems to be a rotten apple! So frustrating!

Do you know the persons real id?   Keep this and any info as if he were a stalker...  sometimes they cross that line as well.  Mark his email as spam & collect in your spam folder.  Do not read it or respond to it.  Block his phone.
There are a number of reviews sites & he could bad review on all of them.  Monitor the sites & advise admin of any false reviews.
Do not fret about fake reviews.  Your reviews are excellant.  IF I see a profile & I'm interested...  I read carefully any bad reviews.  Guys who read reviews can spot ones that are nasty fake.   Even if I can't spot them, I will still see a lady who has an otherwise consistant good review record.  I might even expect to see one "bad chemistry" per page of reviews.   If I am interested, I read ALL the reviews on the last page...

I saw a stunning lady who had pages of fine reviews.  Then out of the blue, she got one nasty review...  I could tell the guy had never seen her.

There are 2 kinds of bad reviews:
Scams...  up sells, rush jobs, b&s, etc   Just about EVERY review will be bad...  the ones that aren't will be fake!
Moody...   Reviews are up & down like a yo-yo.   I avoid them because I judge them to be fine with guys they click with & poor with those they do not.   This middle aged guy isn't going to risk my hard earned hobby money on a yo-yo.

All this said, the subjective review of a series of unique pairings...  I expect to vary slightly.  I expect a RANGE on +/- 1, with a minimum acceptable average of 7.   But I don't go by numbers.  I read the full reviews.

Since this does nopt apply to you, you should not be concerned.

don't sweat it. one bad review in a sea of many good reviews makes people think there must have been a problem with the reviewer.  cum visit my town. you'll get some good wood, oops I mean word.

The gent who posted my first review was one I'd seen for several months, had spent the night with on several occasions and saw in one form or fashion at least once a week.  He had a physical condition that required prescription pain management narcotics.  Over the course of the time we saw each other, he became increasingly demanding of my free time - emailing up to 17 times per day in increasingly "crazed" outbursts and demanding freebies.  Somehow he found out my real name, my home address and told me he'd had me followed by a PI.  At one point he threatened to out me to my family, turn my info over to LE, and do all sorts of other nasty things.... including rewrite his previously glowing review into a mean one.  He succeeded in changing his review of me and I had to prove to the TER staff and the staff of the screening agency we met through that he was indeed nutso.  Had I not kept his communications, I'd have had no luck in convincing TER or the screening agency that HE was the wacked out one, not me.

The good news is that TER did pull his rewritten nasty review and the screening agency banned him (even if it took over a week of daily contact with each entity).

Revenge reviews do exist....  and it's damn hard to prove that's what they are if you don't have copious amounts of back up.
