It has been a WEEK now since TER has 'blessed'(cough cough)us with their new addition to the MOD FAMILY. We have all had an opportunity to share some interaction with him.

TIME for his review(evaluation).

Are we,the consumer, content with this choice?? Would we ask him to make any changes in his approach?

Let's make it easy for Mr. Gambler to comprehend. A multiple choice question to satisfy his curiosity.

How would you rate GaGamblers performance thus far?

A. He is da-man
B. He is trying his best but falls way short of acceptability.
C. He is an arrogant f'in drunk who should go back to where he came from.
D. I wouldn't let him lick the sweat from my balls.
E. None of the above. Here's what I really think...........

Welcome to the HIGH LIFE Mr. Gambler. ;-)

If we are going to hold a mod's feet to the fire, it is only fair that you ask the question about all the mods.

And, as for this particular mod, to do so after one week is particularly unfair. Come back in about three months.

Just so everyone knows, when this thread disappears, it will be because I pulled it, not GaG.  I just want him to have a chance to see who is taking shots at him again.

In the meantime, review away.

He maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but cut the guy some slack...a week? Come on, at least give him a few months at the job.

I think he's doing a good job here so far & showing good humor.

As for the OP, it was a lame attempt at humor by someone in an "altered state"--the style of the
alias has a familiar ring to it, tho-----:)

I have nothing but respect for GG. He's got the balls to say what's on his mind, and doesn't give a fat frog's ass what you, or anyone else thinks of it. With that in mind, I doubt that he really gives a shit what you think of his mod skills after a week, or a month, or a year.

Other than the first day or so, I've seen little evident of his presence. My understanding is that that is the approach mods seem to strive for, except when we get out of line, or they are interjecting some humor.

It doesn't matter what you think, he's here to stay!  No one cares!  Want proof, go to any of the boards RCPro1 has personally turned into intellectual, and cultural wastelands.  The members are furious, admin loves him!
I think GaG will be a good mod  Personally I don't think he will last long though.  He only took the job so he could see who all the cowardly alias" are (handle nazi)  LMAO!!!  He'll get bored after he gets the info, and leave LP high and dry!
This leads to another question LP...do they feel you are so inept that they always give you a partner?  Which leads to the question...Why do your partners always bug out after a month or two?

This is way too much thought for me to be putting into this in the AM.  I need another Bloody Mary! ;-)

Actually, I lobbied pretty hard for GaGambler, and had to overcome pretty serious resistance on his part.  There's no pressure from above for a backup mod, but I have some personal stuff in my life that takes me away from time to time, and this board moves pretty fast at times.

DC was around for quite a while (before me actually) and I'm coming up on a year here, so I'm not sure who's bugging out.  His leaving was entirely his decision, which I respect completely.  He's one of the many people that I've encountered here that I'm proud to call a friend.

Now pass the Tabasco.  I like my bloody mary spicy.

How the fuck does a guy with no reviews become a mod?  You stay away from the boards and all shit breaks loose.  Still, at least I haven't missed anything productive.  LOL

Phil, when are you stepping out of the way for MP67?

Best wishes DC where ever you are.

C & D by the way.

It is very odd to make a guy with NO REVIEWS the mod of a freakin' REVIEW board. LOL

When TER chooses mods that have reviews, TER runs the risk that the mods will be deemed to be "content providers" under federal law which means that those mods do not have civil immunity for the content they provide and, if they are deemed to be employees of TER, then TER likewise loses the immunity.

most of you are assuming that Mr. Gambler is a nemesis of mine.

If you all wish to make declaration that this attempt at levity quite poorly offered,OK.

Back to your dulldrum.

Phil if you would like to flip me,go ahead.

I actually think it is a good move to have Mod’s with no reviews…
It’s easy enough to  “persuade” some men… but men that “review”
That is just an added “power” so to say.  Technically he has no favorites and owes
No favors…  (kinda like having no friends) lol {just kiddin}

Anyway… he must be doing “something” right… he sure is the center of
A lot of attention lately… I can see him sitting at the keyboard… bottle of wine
(oops “case” of wine) laughing at how much “control” he must inject into some peoples
lives to have them “constantly” referencing him….  Well… he is doing what he’s doing
and it would seem that the latest “polls” show him ahead of the game…
so good luck and hopefully everyone will put in their $.02 and then go back to crying about something else for the day…

So, how do you explain that the other entire Moderator's have tons of reviews? I doubt seriously that TER is using that as a prerequisite for becoming a Moderator.

The whole civil immunity pitch is flawed in that by prima facia, and Federal Prosecutor worth his weight can pull the parties into pool.  Add to that the common law doctrine that when the facts make it self-evident that negligence or other responsibility lies with a party, it is not necessary to provide extraneous details, since any reasonable person would immediately find the facts of the case. Yes, the DA has the burden of proof to take care of.

Lastly and lest we forget the protection provided by the Constitution of this country and Freedom of Speech counselor. Don't you think many of these sites where fantasy is the rule, that they would have been taken down a long time ago. In fact one site was taken down and because of the Freedoms provided was back in business in less than 2 months. Does Big Doggie ring a bell? Why not use that case as precedent in your argument?

Unfortunately with him, he takes that as flattery.  So I am stuck.  I have to give up my love of bashing the moderators because now when I insult them, they will take it as me buttering them up.  Dang GD board, no wonder I never come here anymore!!!!  LOL

Just fucking kidding! Damn! You think when we get together and drink we'll be talking about YOUR asses?!

We'll be too busy chasin' tail! ;)

When I first started posting, I noticed that GaG had 1 lone review despite being here for so long. It never increased. I left for awhile and when I returned he no longer had a bracket list for his review next to his name. Don't know what happened to it, or why he only ever wrote that 1 review.

Just figured he was always too drunk to remember what happened the next day. ;)
