What are your favorite christmastime cities to tour in this time of year ?

Mine are NYC and Chicago

Not just for the shopping, but just the energy...  NY and Chicago really kick in the x-mas vibe for me.

LOL... that whole mess confuses me.. Im simple. I live in Buffalo, a city, in a state.. hahha

counties - Queens, Brooklyn, Nassau and Suffolk.  Queens and Brooklyn are part of New York City.  They are each boroughs, and Queens is Queens County while Brooklyn is Kings County.  Nassau and Suffolk are not part of New York City, and it's these two counties that are commonly referred to as Long Island.  Indeed, Nassau was formed shortly after Brooklyn and Queens became part of NYC SPECIFICALLY to avoid becoming part of NYC itself.

Where I live in JOISEY it is called a borough
BUTT that is because we have a bunch of ASSes

New York for obvious reasons, San Francisco because it's my home town (city), and Newport Beach, Calif., because of the parade of boat lights.

a third world island-nation.  Very, Very, very incredibly wealthy individuals - who have a feudal like attitude to those who serve them....  interesting place  wealthy-poor - like very few places in the US.... couple that with poor public utilites, little real chance to develop a middle class, and difficulties getting in and out of the place..... hey, all they need are fancy police uniforms and a few more migrant workers and you will feel EXACTLY like you do in the Carribean - without the heat.

NYC is too damn cold.

I try to plan my tours around the busier weeks and plan my vacations around the times that men spend with their families.........Now the day after Christmas....totally another story...SMile
