Of course not. That is insane.
There are those that speculate FDR knew of the attack on Pearl Harbor before it happened, but let it happen to either gain popularity or boost the country's morale.
I've never liked George Dubbya and don't know of many people, if any, that do; in fact, I feel that his election to office was a complete and total sham, and, for that matter, have never even considered him our president.
Of course NOW, we, as a country, are ALL looking to him.
Is it possible that history might just be repeating itself in more ways than one here?
Might HE have had previous knowledge of these attacks, but simply allowed them to occur in order to gain the country's popularity?
It’s very unlikely that Dubya let this happen knowingly. If anything, he and his administration were asleep at the wheel.
They worked hard and long to convince us that the Federal Government would have a surplus and therefore we should cut taxes. Now we have a recession and a war and we are going back to deficit spending at one of the most trying times in our history.
While Israel was warning this country that their intelligence sources showed something was afoot with the terrorists, Dubya pressed on for his “Star Wars” anti-ballistic missile defense.
Yes, Mr. President, I am praying. I am praying for the souls of those we lost. I am praying for the injured to get well. Finally, I am uniting with my fellow Americans and praying for you to find the wisdom and leadership to deal with this crisis. Please wake up and smell the coffee.
W has at least 49,000,000 people in the US that liked him better than Algore in the last election; maybe more today. Attacking him in this fashion is infantile. I'd suggest you grow up or get a life but lock step liberals have difficulty doing either.

This, of course, would include your inability to fully comprehend the basis of my post.
So basically, you're opposed to what you feel is my "attacking" the president, but have absolutely no qualms about letting loose on ME. (How, by the way, does that subject line, exactly, relate to your post?)
Firstly, I don't feel that I was, as you say, "attacking" the president; at least that was certainly not my intent.
You did not hear me say, for example, that he has a permanently confused look on his face, or that he possesses not one shred of eloquence when he speaks (and I use the term "speaks" quite loosely here) --THAT would be "attacking".
I believe I also said that now we are ALL looking to him; which was the very reason for my post: what began as sheer comtempt for the man has suddenly began turning around since this tragedy and I have found myself rallying toward him. I sincerely was touched when he choked up and called himself "a loving guy" after visiting the Pentagon victims.
(funny how these sorts of things can change a country's opinion)
I was merely opening up what I feel would be a very interesting, very plausible, point for discussion. Hence the name, "Discussion Groups".
See, notice how "goodguy" gave his input/opinion without making it personal; a "yes, it's possible"/"no, it's not possible" means of input.

LA Time appears to be One of the true enemies of liberty. Cloaking themselves in its fabric, they use our freedoms to divide us. A pre-programmed statement and then their message of hatred; of distrust. Then they try to cover it by claiming they are the true purveyors of truth. We are no longer going to stand by (as a society) and let bold faced liars have equal time.

In a third world country with a totalitarian government and no civil or economic freedoms does not invest in a "baby's milk factory." This was an amazingly pathetic lie used by the enemy to show "journalists" a labratory and "clean room" factory was actually a "milk factory." It was either a "milk factory" or a biological warfare labratory.

The thought that ANY President would sit back and allow multiple aircraft to crash into populated areas, much less the financial center of our country, so that he could "rally the troops"???? Are you serious? Is that really what you suggest may have occured?
From your post I get the impression you are one of the many who think our President lacks the brainpower to function in the nations highest office. Lets remember how this false impression was created. As I recall, a reporter asked the Mr. Bush if he new the name of some leader of some little known country. I must admit.... I don`t recall who it was or what country he led. Now I`m not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I read the paper and watch the national news regularly, and I didn`t recognize the name as one I had ever heard. Up until that interview Governor Bush was thought of as an effective leader with good ideas.
So, my advise to you , at least during this difficult time in our countries history, is to can your obvious love of the conspiracy theory and get your head right. Unbelievable !!!!!!
