So what song title or lyrics best describes your last pay for play visit?
I think mine would be Redbone's classic "Come and get your love". The mood of the song fits the experience too.

"When the "swallows" come back to Capistrano."   Great CIM session.

Either the Ray Charles duet version or The Motels.

Or we could go to their earlier days - Witchy Woman ;-)

You see to have a number of choices with that band -- maybe it is your theme band.

Or, you could go with Desperado.

and this song seems to sum up the current state of affairs; not so much on account of any intention on my part, but rather a product of the ravages of time:

Indeed Jensen, indeed.

Another song of theirs I was considering is 'Lyin' Eyes'...

if it was the version sung by Linda Ronstadt.

But a very good song nonetheless.

True -- though I didn't know about the Neville Bro's cover.

But I also didn't mention Elvis, Buddy Guy or the original performer, Little Willie John. Or probably a bunch of other people, lol.  But I agree both NB and Peggy Lee have good covers -- I lean more towards Peggy's rendition personally.

And if we want to get into old films maybe someone can be Little John's staff (not sure if that belongs in one of the early Robin Hood movies or in Men in Tights).

Although Little Willie John is the true origin of the song most compliment Peggy Lee as the original. I personally like the Neville Brothers version.
