Deposit return

Found a provider with no reviews on Tryst in a location outside my state I visit often and set up a session.  She and I communicated often around logistics and I gave my deposit as requested. Upon arrival in her city, she rescheduled twice and then told me she could not keep the third scheduled appointment because her flight back into town was late (she took her child on a quick getaway) and she offered to return my deposit since she couldn't make it.

I shocked her and told her that she should keep the deposit which probably puts me in a minority of clients. I just felt that it was the right thing to do and trusted that she was sincere and not trying to rip people off.  I am heading back next month and will re-book. Of course, I I encounter the same behavior, I will let ya'll know (and take my deposit back, lol)!

this situation? If she accepts a second booking from you without requiring a deposit, a truly good gentleman has found a truly classy lady.

I hope your next apt goes well.
But, being of a skeptical nature as most are on this board....please keep us posted on how it goes.

This is a first......  If she works with you, then you've found a gem.

Did you make it clear that the deposit was now a gift? Or do you expect her to apply the deposit against your next booking request?  I would do the latter, under similar circumstances, assuming I felt her excuse was sincere.

I had the same thoughts.  The OP didn't clarify to us whether this was a gift or a deposit on hold. Hopefully the latter,  otherwise I'd call him a chump.

No review no deposit.  Thanks for taking one for the team 😁.
On a serous note however,  providers  have  a life too,so things do happen.
Hope she make good on the next tryst - happy hunting/hobbying .

Thanks for the clarification request! Yes- I told the young lady that the deposit was a gift and not a hold on a next appointment.

You're delusional. This guy got taken advantage of, and he simply gave her money....for nothing. That somehow makes him a "gentleman"? No honey, that makes him foolish. (sorry OP, real talk here)

Let me ask QB, if you met a new John he realized he forgot his wallet, and didn't have your donation, would you just say "caca happens" and let him play, because you're a lady? No, you would be on this board ranting about it. But when a hooker takes money from a client that she didn't earn, he's being a gentleman? I'll sum up with how I started, you're delusional.

How much of a deposit are we talking about here??
If it’s $100 ok, no biggie…But to give anything more to a non review out of your city girl a deposit … man that shouldn’t happen.
By the way, I’m in the group of the “No deposit, no way”

At this point, it can’t really be determined yet whether or not he got taken by the woman until or unless he chalks it up to being a gift. Also, in the future when he books with her again she says she applies that first deposit to the second date. If he’s the one who declined getting paid back the deposit, then she did not take him. If he did give her a gift, then it’s not as you stated, for nothing. That’s the definition of a gift, one gives a gift to another person because he or she wants to give it. That is a voluntary act on his part, he is the one who brought it up, stating that she could keep the money. His post doesn’t say whether or not, she can keep it indefinitely as in not applying to a future date, which is why I posted the question I did after having read his post.

As promised, here is the update! Recap: In December, I made an appointment for a young lady and gave a deposit. Although she was a no show, we communicated throughout the week I was in town to make it work but ultimately, she said she was sorry she could not keep the session. Hearing her life story, I told her to keep the deposit (not apply it to a next visit) and hopefully see her upon my return to town.

I returned last week, set up an appointment and neither of us mentioned the previous situation. I confirmed the day before and she replied all was set.  Unfortunately, she did not show.  I did not contact her further.

Yes- I lost my deposit. I just hope it went to a good cause and that she does not do this to others.

Any tips for reliable providers in Michigan? LOL

if she actually honors the appointment.  But since you don't seem to care much for your hard earned money, it really shouldn't matter.

It's your money. Do whatever you want. It's not my business.

But if I book with someone for the first time, and they no show. They're now on my Do Not See List, forever.

Unless they are willing to do a discounted session for my inconvenience, no reason to engage with them anymore.

Noooo! I did not give her another deposit. I called her and made an appointment - cost me .25!  She made the new appointment and ghosted me.

On second thought, you are right- can't imagine even if she does show up, it would be a good experience. But TER won't let you write a no show review.

But you can post her info here, so no one else falls in the same trap.

You need to post her information to warn others. I took a gamble on a provider who asked for a small deposit and was ghosted, and she disappeared for months. She suddenly starts advertising she's back,  and still has my deposit. I posted it on the NY Board bc she's heading to NYC again.

I get what you have done but I would have asked for a rescheduled date or gave you the deposit back until I could schedule something.
