Depends on the situation

Last weekend I had a wonderful date with a provider.  We had drinks and went to a club in her hotel.  We then enjoyed each other's company in public places......

This was not in my home town though....take it for what it is worth.

I'm curious:  to what degree do hobbyists see providers in public?  Particularly where the hobbyist and provider are at least "regulars" (if not ATF), and the hobbyist is in his local community -- does he take her out to dinner, the theater, clubbing?  If not in the local community, does he do this in remote locations where there's less chance of being seen by someone he knows?  Is there a difference between married an unmarried hobbyists?  And providers -- do you have a preference?  Perhaps you'd prefer not to be in public so as to avoid other clients??

FYI - My own bias is strongly toward being in public w/ someone you like and get along with -- unless there's a significant risk of hurting an SO.

In fact the ONLY thing that would make me nervous in public with a provider/ATF would be if I did have a SO. I'll be damned if I'd let my job or political considerations rule my life.

I don't have an SO, so I have seen my favorite lady in public and intend to continue to do so, whenever the opportunity arises.  She's a smart, sweet, funny lady, and because we "get" each other, there's no place I wouldn't go with her.  Who cares if we meet another of her clients?  Knowing how selective she is, I'll probably like the guy.

Discretion is worth a sack of lawyers.  I vote private, all the time and I am single with NO SO.

I took a lady to lunch one time and I was terribly nervous the whole time.

On the other hand, I've been to several client/provider "socials" at various venues around Atlanta and haven't felt nervous at all (even got mistaken as the "pimp" of the group at one of them :-).

I guess the difference was "being on a date" vs. "being out in a group".
