I like this question, because I believe that most providers, including myself, truly mean what they say, when they say they enjoy pleasing others. I believe that is part of what draws us like-minded women to this "venture," whether or not we knew it in the beginning. If there comes a day where I do not enjoy pleasing my clients, where I do not feel appreciated, and where I feel this is more of a job or a duty, rather than a pleasure, than all the money in the world will not prevent me from quitting. Acting or feeling any other way would not be fair to the clients or to myself.
A little over a year ago, I made this decision, and yes, the leading factor was the need for donations. Finding out how much I enjoyed getting to know individual clients, many who I would never have hooked up with "IRL," due to many factors including them being married or otherwise involved, not being my "type," them being too shy, or whatever was a learning moment for me. Even more than discovering how much I enjoyed getting to know clients of varied backgrounds and finding something very special about each man and each encounter was definitely the pleasant surprise of feeling damn good about making my clients feel good for the amount of time we are together. Looking at that smile on his face, sharing a soft dfk, watching him in the relaxed state of enjoying being taken to another place, and having him say he will take it all with him for the rest of the day, the week end or the week, is a wonderful feeling. I say that "I love to please," and "I aim to please," and I truly, genuinely do.
When I first began this venture, I thought that there was a possibility that after my first date or two I would drive home feeling some type of guilt. Much to my surprise, I felt the opposite. And I firmly believe the reason for this is that feeling of doing something good for someone else.
Lastly, (and I apologize for the length of my post, because I could go on and on about this topic) this "venture" has stimulated growth in myself. Even though I consider myself to be open, genuine, non judgemental, and accepting of most, I soon realized that there were some clients who I wouldn't have given a second glance "IRL." When some of these same clients became the men who made me laugh the hardest, feel the prettiest and sexiest, showed me the most respect and kindness, expressed the most appreciation for what I do, I realized that I was missing so much "IRL" by being less than accepting and a bit superficial.
I do not consider myself a super model, so I believe there are probably some men who wouldn't have given me the time of day IRL either, so I do realize this could work both ways, but I am specifically talking about the growth that took place inside me. And that growth would not have happened if I would not have stumbled across this wild and crazy new venture and path in life. I have never been sorry and I have never looked back, and I AM having the time of my life...pleasing my grateful clients.
Great topic.
