Well DATY with my ATF is pure heaven, yes it bothers me a bit what has gone there in the last week, the last several months, but at least on an AM appt I am able to put thoses thoughts aside. I really like the "coaching" idea.  I probably don't speak for everybody, but suspect I speak for many on this...

The insincere praise of our skills and largesse are OK, but their luster wears off pretty quickly.

Rather than boosting my ego by pretending I'm doing a great job, I'd much rather be coached on how to really do a great job.  I think some providers are hesitant for fear that our feelings might be hurt, but to me, coaching feels like an investment in what we're doing, and adds to the intensity of the session more than praise.

Sully's started an excellent thread.  First, a little background by way of a disclaimer, then I'll add a question to focus the discussion a bit.

In my brief hobbying career before I discovered TER, I saw two providers.  One offered DATY, but I was (unusually) not interested.  The other, an all around miserable experience, did not offer (awful time ...I would rather she had left with the cash and saved me the time).  Since discovering TER, I've only seen providers that offer DATY, since it is something that I usually love to do (as some of my brethren hobbyists have indicated, I'm not interested if things are not clean and fresh-smelling).

My question is this . . . aside from cleanliness issues, what are people's thoughts / opinions/ fears about catching STD's from DATY, especially with someone who has performed multiple BBBJ's?  

I note that, for those of us who dine, the concern might actually be greater with civilian girlfriends than with providers . . . my last civilian girlfriend (aged 25) claimed to have performed BJ's on more than 40 guys since her 16th birthday, all uncovered.  

Of course, that's a small number by provider standards, but it's still a large enough number to cause concern.  I'm also certain that, but for my insistance, she never would have been tested.  I bet that many civilian girlfriends, even those with extensive histories, get tested a lot less than a responsible provider.
