Hooray!  The great thing about the Internet is that us sportf*ckers can surf and select, or better yet, put our "criteria" into the TER search engine and find "what" we're looking for.  But as in days of yore -- i.e., cruisin' up Eighth Avenue w/ the eyeballs poppin out -- it's us guys who are doing the selecting.

Here's my fantasy, girls (and boys):  Why not a website (or subset of this website, but more elaborate than the ISO board) where hobbyists post what they want and providers do the looking.  I mean, how's this:  "Experienced hobbyist, fit, considered attractive, cerebral, seeks provider over 30; prefers well-traveled, extremely literate, artsy, humorous; smarts count more than looks or bod; slight preference for redheads and big butts; must enjoy fine dining, at the Y and elsewhere."

Then I sit back and see if there are nibbles. (Obviously, the fundamental economic transaction doesn't change).  C'mon guys and girls -- isn't it more fun if it goes both ways?  Is there a way to do this????

There are a number of reasons a "role" reversal would not work, including the fact that most hobbyists want to lay low and remain anonymous, faceless, as well as be in control of the timing of events.

That is why we are the hobbyists, and they are the professionals.

Turkana, I like the way you are thinking here; however, I don't believe this idea to be quite feasible, at least not at this point in time. As much as I, and many others I'm sure, would love to have these lovely ladies turn the tables and beg for our attention, it simply would not be practical in many/most cases.

The first problem I see is the potential increase for ripoffs, or other marketing ploys. We would probably end up with at least few ROB's that simply spend all their free time attempting to scam every guy in the registry and do so more successfully than happens now. Also, anyone that has ever joined one of those online dating sites has most undoubtedly had some amazing hot young thing grab their attention only to find out she is really advertising her own porn site.

Then the issue of privacy and discretion will definitely come up. I speculate most married or attached guys would not desire unexpected calls and/or emails from ladies they have never met.

Additionally, we already have seen and heard the discussion many times about how much time a lady invests with phone calls, answering email, and screening only to come up with a cancelation,  or worse no appointment ever scheduled. By both parties making the first contact, this would certainly add to, possibly doubling,  that frustration. Remember once we are contacted, I would think you might want a photo, review, possibly a client reference. Hmmm.. sounds like we would be required to do the same screening they don't like doing on or about us. I can't see putting myself through all that, but maybe I'm just lazy. And then of course there would be that poor guy who can't resist temptation, that goes and ruins himself financially because he is found to be a sucker for any and every provider that contacts him. Yeah, his name would get around town pretty quick don't you think.

Still enjoy the thought of multiple women lusting after us instead of the other way around though. Ahh to dream...

Tuek,  I seem to be in the minority here, but I can see a way it could work.  Unfortunately it could work extremely well for our local law enforcemnt.  I think the hobbiest would, and is, best served as is.  But, on another track to this line of thinking, the business enterprise of your idea might have significant merit.    MMMMM  makin a buck-for-a-fuck. Sounds reasonable.

Do you think most hobbyists would describe themselves accurately enough to not disappoint a provider? Hell no. But you know what would work?

There is a board on another site I visit where members can post their own 'ads'.  It's not done in quite the way you describe where the guy trys to 'sell' himself but guys post what they are looking for and they do get lots of replies (especially if business in London is slow).

You get guys looking for a provider to go on holiday with them, for a fantasy one hour, booking, overnights, duos, threesome with SO etc.  The ads are always more about what he's looking for (eg small slim brunette who does X) than what he is like.

It seems to work - it certainly worked for me, I got a 3 week trip to the Maldives with a client after replying to an ad when the board first went up
