I love a good foot massage and I have had gents do exactly what you described most did not ask first and a couple did.
I didn't have any issues with it but some ladies might be ticklish or don't want their feet touched.
It is best to ask believe me it will not damper the mood.

I've never had a provider get the least bit upset when I ask her if it's ok with her to do something with her, when I don't know whether or not she likes that activity.  In fact they seem glad that I asked first.  Sure, the spontenaity is lost, but IMO the lady's comfort is more important than spontenaity.  

Oh no.  I get terrible foot cramps, and if you press in the wrong spot, it will trigger very painful ones.   To my way of thinking, it's either firm or gentle.... I don't know how it could be both.

Always ask. Ask softly and smilingly. Be confident in yourself and don't feel bad if she says no. If she says no, keep the conversation flowing (don't get self-conscious etc).   It wouldn't dampen the mood.  

You don't have to storm the beaches of massage all at once.   You can land at a safer spot and advance over the terrain toward your real target.  You can adjust your tactics based on the response of the other team ... though sometimes you'll have to make a tactical retreat.

Personally, I do enjoy a good foot massage. I'm ticklish but those sensations don't bother me. Even though it feels great. I'd appreciate one checking in before proceeding to massage my feet.

I routinely give massage during appointments but I always ask first and then always ask before I touch the feet, not everyone enjoys it.  Better to clear it first than to handle an awkward situation after.

Wow...alrighty then..geez not all providers are looking to run up the clock with less work.
That is why I prefer 90min or more appts but then again the guys I see don't have their stopwatch out to make sure they get every little bit of their hour time.But even on an hour appt if the time goes over a little bit I don't have an issue with that.

The OP clearly LIKES spending some time doing the foot massage.  If he enjoys his time his way, it isn't the provider steering things to shorten the "work/play" time.  The OP is clearly steering the date, and the time.

For me... im open to foot fetish but this is about GFE. Its meant to be a comfortable relaxing experience. I welcome a soft non aggressive move. It builds trust... heightens the experience and leads to more fun later
