Before questioning motives or anything else, people should follow up with testing any time there is an STD alert. You can put together all the him / her - true / false - positive / negative combinations and you still want to know if you've got anything.

E.g., if a client reports back that he caught something and he thinks he got it from a recent visit to a provider she should get tested. HE might have infected HER! Well it seems you have publicly accused her of a falsehood. You cannot have 100% proof of how you contracted an STI (venereal disease is what they called them in the 70's babe). There is absolutely NO TEST that could/would say that woman you accused is responsible!! So while it is believable that you have an STI, and you have proof of that, there is no proof of the exact time/day/method of contraction, and therefore, it is wrong of you to publicly 'report' a professional. I say publicly because you say nothing of contacting her and having a discussion, or even to inform her that you have found out you have contracted an STI, which would allow her to get a check herself and ensure that YOU didn't give HER something. There is rarely a ground zero. It's impossible to point the finger. Instead you should take responsibility for your own sexual health and education.
