The photo has to be well lit.  Don't get too artsy either.

Instead of bluring your face (Which is a bit grotesque.) just turn your head, or shoot from the shoulders down, or mouth down.

You don't have to be totally naked, but it would be nice to get an idea of your general profile.

Face pics are good. Some with mouth, some with eyes.

So I have a photo shoot coming up and curious to know what kind of pictures you guys like to see.   I, like most ladies, blur my face for privacy but I'm interested in clothing (or lack thereof) poses etc....

Depends on your prices and desired clientele.  It's straightforward advertising.  A sexy self-shot with a cell-phone in a hotel mirror could be your ticket (it advertises a certain spontaneous 'grunginess' that some guys like, especially if you work a sort of partygirl/amateur fantasy).  

But if you're here at TER I think you're probably going for a better class of clients.  In which case...

1) Get a professional photographer to take a variety of shots.  Sexy but not revealing.  Nipples hinted, but not showing.  Not too posed.  Sexy but accessible.  Absolutely not intimidating.  Be the woman guys see every day.  You don't have to advertise the sex explicitly in the photos.  Clients know what you're offering.  Make them curious.

2) Feel free to photoshop, but don't go overboard.  Just remove unflattering shadows, increase pupil size, try a slight almost subliminal tint to lips in a B&W face shot.  

3) Show the photos to your best clients and ask which they like most.  Use those.

Clothing and poses....

Your hair & body shape go well with dark colors, and maybe some red. A little (little!!!) solid black dress with some black wrist-gloves would work - maybe a long, sapphire blue cocktail dress with your hair up - a red corset, trimmed with black - and work those long black gloves in any time! I find just eye shots are haunting, and naked body shots are ALWAYS appreciated!

dress, lingerie, etc.  It is not essential that you "bare all."  You can cover your breasts with your hair or an accessory.

Equally important is a variety of posses.  At least one or two that show you head to toe so we can judge your overall height and physical build.  Some ladies have success by blurring their face but also showing a shot of just their eyes.

Personally, I like to see someone in a variety of lingerie and other clothes.  There also should be a variety of poses to show off different aspects of the body.  For me, a couple of good butt shots are key. Octavia put out a couple of good ones on the NY regional board today.  But, then, her ass is to die for.  Astrophysicists can calibrate their instruments on it.

Seriously: 1) Your clients will love perusing your photos and giving advice; 2) If you do it during an appointment, they'll essentially be paying you to help you; 3) Your 'trust' in them will likely be rewarded in the long run because it'll strengthen your 'relationship'; and 4) If they're your best clients, then they're exactly the type of guy whose opinion you want anyway.

...unless you're just using this board as a mechanism to post a free ad.   Good play, but that's not what these boards are for.

A little intimidating don,\'t youo think

I like a variety of pictures, a sexy dress, top & short shorts, swim suit & yes nude or nearly so without need to be explicit.  I want to see several views & angles which assure me of what my prospective companion looks like.  Too often a provider relies on a single photo or small group that show her to her best advantage.  Fine but then add an equal number of just decent clear shots. The pictures need to open up enough to really see them, not stupid thumbs.

When I am viewing prospects, my overriding consideration is "Am I attracted to her?"  This is your chance to make that happen or I'll pass.  If I can not tell enough from the pictures, again, I'll pass.

I do not send emails soliciting my clients for such nonsense.  This, I feel, is highly disrespectful of their personal situations.  It was a legitimate question and your assumptions of "free advertising" are way off base. Firstly if I did want to shill i would have done it in a regional specific board thereby focusing on my target market.  Secondly My business is not in need of such advertising.  It was merely a question ....way too read too much into it.

No, I meant ask their opinion *in person*, as part of the small talk during appointments.  Definitely don't send emails.  But you obviously already know that.

Anyway, I'm just saying what's worked for girls I know.

I looked at your website.  My advice stands.  I think you should winnow the photos.  Spend some time on your site with clients during appointments, asking them what they think.

I am actually one of the true low volume providers so in person is great but I was fitting this into my schedule and the photographers schedule so I would not have enough time to survey a good number of clients...but that you for answering

I strongly second both tabb's and shoulda's comments.

I always like the ones where you have clotes on but show just enough to make you wonder.....or want more.....   short skirts, heels, blouses that show.....   I totally love suits that reveal, too.....
