I've been noticing more providers/agencies accepting major credit cards...is this safe?

Paper trails often lead to trails of tears and woe.

I would consider them only if:

1. You are single and don't care who sees what on your CC statement and:

2. The gal in question is someone with the highest level of integrity and you don't have to worry about her stealing the CC number, etc.

But still and all, is the 2% cash back worth the risk?

..I have used prepaid credit cards for overnight appointments very safely. My regular accepts it since I am, well, a regular so there is trust.  It also prevents from me carrying around a thick wad of cash.

I would rather not use regular Credit Card,  and you should certainly not use it if you have wife or SO.  Also, as fisher right pointed out, it leaves a paper trail, so why risk?

And never ever use Credit Cards with Agency. If the agency gets busted, your info is straight going to the LE

use them all the time..as mr fisher says..be careful..i am single..no one sees my credit card statement..the girls who use them must be reliable and trustworthy..they have the machine right there with them..fast and efficient..you dont have to worry about bringing or losing any envelopes..

For starters... I will NEVER use credit with an agency. Period! Like somone has stated... it's a paper trail that LE can trace straight to you.

I have done this with only 2 independent providers in the past year, only because we know each other on a REAL name basis and we both know our home addresses and even our children's names. The point is, I trust those two, but not anyone else.

Oh, never, N E V E R trust anyone from Backpage. I don't care if they claim to be safe, do not do it!

Are you sure that you won't have a problem for someone to find them? Rest of you life is an awful long time.

I think its always best to use cash when seeing a companion. A paper trail is never a good idea for the client plus for a companion its much better to simply accept cash and not have to worry about having to deal with some issue with the Credit Card company in case a client defaults on payment after he has visited her.

If you know and trust the person you are dealing with then it can be a safe transaction. One of my ATF's accepts credit cards in certain circumstances and since I trust her used my card to pay for part of her fee. I am not cencerned about the "Paper Trail" so it was not a problem for me. On the other hand I would not feel comfortable giving my card info to an agency or to a provider that I am seeing for the first time. For me it is all a matter of trust and that is earned over time.

I have used a credit card a few times with an agency in Toronto with no problems..  Of course, Canada is a completely different ballgame.  

Down here in the U.S.....................uhhhhh NO!

Beyond the paper trail issues that others have mentioned, dealing in cash helps enforce  your hobby budget, particularly at a time when your impulse control mechanisms may not be functioning at their best. We've all heard the horror stories of guys running up ridiculous credit card tabs at strip clubs. Don't bring that potential for recklessness into the hobby. No provider is worth going into debt over.

I understand everyone's concerns with using/accepting Credit Cards.
Maybe if you split the rate, like $100 CC & $150 Cash or something similiar. Just a suggestion.

And I've never had any problems from regulars or new clients

I had a long term arrangement with well he began as client, he ised his for my bills, i wouldnt if i were you unless you trust her and its like a close arrangement friendship sorta what ya call it, hmm. I had one guy family make him start showin credit card statements and several times i used his for ads, they asked why that was on thier, it got hairy, and furniture. That was also hard to explain, i d say no unless its a sure set arrangement, with a sugar baby you trust, hmm,
