and I'm so glad I did.  I went back to see her and had a wonderful time.

Keep the card very discreet so that it doesn't raise suspicions if found.

I'm attending a mixer, and was told to feel free to bring business cards.

I've thought about making them in the past, but something about it feels a little hinky-- I don't like the idea of a civvie or LE finding one haphazardly, I prefer to make myself known to those in the know.

Am I the only one? Ladies, do you have cards that you give out at mixers, bars, etc?

If you use a card it should have nothing on it that you would mind being seen by anyone who picks it off the floor or finds it in the trash. If you give out a card you have to remember probably a lot of them will be dropped or thrown out. Most guys with SO's are not going to risk bringing them home. .

Not a problem for me, don't have an SO. Just a name and a way to contact you is all I need on the card.

I know several ladies who provide business cards.
After all, you are running a business.

they grow 'em nice in Boston.  Print tasteful cards indicating that you offer consulting, so their big head can remember what their little head can never forget!  hot woman.

It seemed to be standard operating proceedure and one gal actually apologized for not having one to give out.  One that I still have gave the gal's name, her e-mail address and phone, and simply added "Model/Personal Assistant."  But you don't even need to say that.

I'd even call it suspicious.
Party planner?  Personal Assistant?  Consultant?  Event Coordinator?  Hostess?
Name and email.

Years ago a Provider Local to DC named Jackie had business cards made up that  looked like they represented a auto body shop.  She also had a small but very nice agency going.  All this was before the boards took off so it was great discovering a legit babe you could trust. Did not want to lose THAT contact number.  I still have one of her cards stashed away. I figure it is a collectors item by now...LOL....any bids?

I got about 3 steps before it was in the trash.  For starters, I'll talk to damn near anyone but I'm picky about where I rest my dick.  Beyond that, I always have my smartphone with me, so I have numerous ways to memorialize the event without a card.  What I usually do is log on to TER and add her to my favorites.

I get so many business cards in a typical work week that I often make decks of cards with them for plane trips.  I get in a couple hours of solitaire and then toss the deck at the gate.

I was thinking about just having my name and email... no website. Then just telling whoever I give the card to, to google me.

I don't know how this makes it LESS troublesome in my mind. Ha!

It drives me nuts when I meet a man in an airport or in the line up at the bank, and I think - THIS MAN WOULD LOVE TO KNOW that having sex with me for money is an option. ; )

I agree "consulting" or "consultant" or something vague should be put on the card. Blank is more odd IMO.

I know some women put their photo on the back... that definitely isn't a route I would go.
However, if you were to go that route, you can get your cards printed here, and you can choose multiple photos so you don't have to have hundreds of cards with the same photo on it!

The weird part about that word is that, if you deconstruct it, you get "the rapist."  Having seen your pictures I am available to be raped by you.  And, yes, I know, I will have to travel to Canada for that to happen.

Business cards are relatively targeted -- you hand them out to people you want to hand out.  Plus, if you only provide information about websites require registrations, require some "knowings" ... that has some controls to only "those in the know": for example, your TER reviews site, your P411 page ...

If some men let their wives found out about your business cards, that really are their problem; if you accidentally hand out to a LE, he really can not do anything about it.  And, I don't think there are men who are hypocritical enough when you hand him a business card and he would grab you by your wrist and shout out "prostitute, I am a good man, let's go to the police!".

Just keep it simple, many marketers and real estate agents have cards with their photos on it so it is commonplace. I wouldn't reference any websites, as anyone who sees it could go checking, I'm thinking more your potential clients wife or girlfriend, and might make people dispose of them.

They are also more likely to get clients caught. Especially if one was acquired during a drunken state, put into a wallet, and forgot about. Wives are notorious for being nosy.
