Your post gave me a totally different perspective on writing reviews. Since I visit well reviewed ladies only, unless the experience was vastly better or vastly worse than expcted I didn't write reviews unless specifically asked to.

After reading your post, I am writing reviews for all occasions unless specifically asked NOT to.

I recieved a call earlier, and he was wondering if I still provide. Based on the fact that i don't self-advertise on the boards, and my last reviews were from a couple months ago.  Do men really think that ladies are here for a short time? or if they have no recent reviews, they are not providing?

Yes, out of site out of mind.

Also, if I see an ad with a 2 year old photo, I won't bother. Some sites still have ads posted for providers that have been out of the biz for years.

Fresh images and fresh ads are important!

You might be surprised at the number of ladies who are here for only a short time, or come in and out of the business as it suits them.
I know of several who have come onto the boards, and "retired" after a short time, only to come back a year, maybe two later. Then they stay around for a while and "retire" again.
So, sometimes if there have been no reviews lately, no adds, or no activity on the boards we might just think that maybe you aren't around any more.
This is especially true for someone who might have seen you before and was interested in a repeat visit, but hadn't seen anything about you.
BTW, you have a very nice web site.

Just my opinion...

I wouldn't think so after only a couple of months, but, if the last review was six months to a year ago, then I might think she had retired, or perhaps saw only select clients.

yes, many providers are in the business for only a short period of time.  Or perhaps the gentleman didn't know how long you'd been in the business.  In any event, count yourself lucky that he had the respect to ask the question.

I had something similar happen. I went the month of January without any reveiws - I was busy, just not seeing any reviews written. When a review popped up for me in February, I got a few e-mails saying "welcome back" from gentlemen who thought I must have been taking a break because I hadn't gotten any reviews.

This is why a few weeks ago when the topic of to review or not to review came up, I encouraged gentlemen to write reviews regardless of how many a lady already has, and regardless if they feel they aren't adding anything new to what has already been written. Sometimes men do think that a gap in reviews means a lady isn't active, when in fact she is.

I don't post on TER very much anymore, but I have to say my business has never been better. I guess when you've been around for awhile and still advertising on some sites, you're not forgotten -- thank goodness. However, I do agree that an occasional review helps business. ;)

Hugs,
Ciara

I'm glad to see you posting again even if it's just occassionally. I always enjoyed your sensibility and humor.

Thanks for telling me that! Its always nice knowing that something I said had an impact :o )

If you don't continue to advertise, we can't assume  you're still available.

so?  is that what we think?!   sometimes.... sometimes not!
