San Diego has had the reputation for the last couple of years of being very "restrictive" with regards to LE and this activity. If this post is legit, then it seems their priorities are in order and LE deserves some props.

than that, which I cannot share, however, what was pointed out is that these impersonators, as well as any robbers or rapists are committing crimes and need to be reported, and caught, regardless of any illegal, or allegedly illegal activities being performed by the MP's or Providers.

While, yes, this IS part of their job, they went the 'extra mile' by posting the post, and more.

I'm not a big LE fan, but when they do something right, credit where credit is due.

It's heartening to see LE take such a noble stance.

Make no mistake, cops like the kittycat too. And no matter how low you fly below the radar, LE probably knows if you're working.

A lot of LE activity is politically motivated. Consider, for example, when the most famous MP in LA, OA closed. It was a four agency effort, with the host PD in Inglewood going along for the ride with INS, LASD, FBI. You can take a wild guess whose idea it wasn't to make the raid.
