Have the TER boards become Estrogen laden ladies' forums?

Men's honest opinions on these boards tend to either get shouted down by providers or White Knights these days.  It's become almost impossible to post as a REAL MAN with manly opinions & thoughts without an alias these days.  Something is seriously wrong, and most every man I talk to is saying these boards are now glorified women's chat rooms with a few metrosexual men sprinkled in.The usual  WKs, DQs, and effeminate tree huggers feel free to flame me!

Atlanta board over past few months has moved in this direction.  Seems our mod and others seem to think it is a mortal sin to say anything negative.  In some cases, the comments do go over the top and I think their warranted in shutting someone down.  But, they have taken it to extremes lately.

Yes, some boards have become that way.
It would seem that many hobbyists have not been posting real meaningful threads.
I think part of this is the political correctness that is running rampant.
The whining and complaining at every turn does not fester activity from experienced hobbyists.
I think if I see another WK post a poem, I will puke. This is not match.com, and is not about finding love.
You are also correct about using an alias. While I enjoy my aliases, I think they are necessary when I have strong opinions and do not follow the herd.

Part I think is just the tendency of boards to morph and change over time. I've noticed that you often have people who are very active posters for several months who then leave entirely. We have relatively few old veterans.

I also wonder whether more women are posting because TER remains one of the best, free forms of promotion. That certainly seems to be going on on the regional boards. In bad times, the providers are going to look for economical ways of promoting their services.

Personally, I think if some newbie posts a jerky poem on the GD board he should be flamed and sent running with his tail between his legs. As far as I know, the Newbie Board is the only place where we are asked to be nice.

I think it's gross when the providers jump to a WK's defense but I don't see anything to do about it.

I had responded to a post my an Atlanta Male, I can't call him a gentleman.
I was going to Atlanta for the ACC Tourney.
He had posted about getting his 50th review.
I posted I could help him with his numbers. A fun and sexy response, even though I didn't know him.

he pm'd me and told me exactly how I wasn't his type. It was very rude and I actually was blown away.
I posted about it but made the mistake of posting what he said to me in pm, verbatim. I was moderated for a week. I didn't know I could get in trouble for it..but I learned. At the same time I was touring Atlanta, and couldn't even post my tour until the day I left for Atlanta. Someon, while I was in Atlanta posted he was looking for a MILF. I responded and also mentioned that I had only ONE date while in Atlanta.
The Mod allowed a poster to come out and be so rude as to say I was a Duke arrogant complainer who is never happy and that it was my own fault for not giving Atlanta more notice I was coming.
I also noticed this. The moderator likes to greet some ladies...you know be a White Knight...local ladies, touring ladies...his own favs. Not everyone. just his favs. i called him on that the other day in a pm. He told me ain't it a bitch to have your own board!!!!

So I guess I get it. I was probably thinking about the General board..etc. In the Carolinas, we had a mod for a few years, but mostly he was absent. Then we got Fuzzy, and now he is gone.
I do now get what you are referring to...REGIONAL boards...and that I agree on yes!

I don't think the boards should be "one sided" in either direction since these boards are not the property of any particular subset of clients or providers. These boards are TER's property and exist for the purposes deemed profitable by them. If TER "allows" certain forms of speech here then they are fair game.

There is room on the boards for a variety of opinions to be expressed. If you feel that there is no room for "real men's opinions" here then it is because "real men" have abdicated responsibility to contribute to the overall tone.

If by "real men's opinions" you mean rude and obnoxious posts, and trying to run everyone who does not share your "sensibilities" away, then TER has already addressed that with the new policies on board use - and YOU LOST.  Get over it.

You must have a very weak ego and fear competing with other opinions - especially those "weak" opinions you apparently despise.

Sorry this happened to you.  I have the greatest respect for the providers who genuinely try their best to deliver good times.  And, I enjoy their participation on the local boards.  But sometimes a little criticism in the form of an opposing point of view to their comment seems warranted or at least ok, such as the case of a provider who recently decided to double her rates and brag about her new found fame.  I made a simple comment, " too excessive for my blood". and it was erased.  But you know, such is life and its not the end of the world.  If it gets under my skin too much I'll just find another form of amusement.  I have seen exactly what you describe and the bias toward some folks is overwhelmingly obvious and quite frankly disgusting.

The real measure of manhood here is giving the providers a proper seeing to,  writing reviews and being willing to take one for the team. I've seen ladies four times who had no previous reviews when I made the date.

The reason that the boards have become this way is because the guys have let it.  This is how the ladies earn their living, it is recreation for the guys.  The ladies do get vindictive and territorial partially because bad posts and/or reviews can hurt their commerce. The shill/white knight posts defending every lady without an ounce of knowledge of the situation are nauseating to read and quite honestly one of the main reasons I have all but left the boards.  The Florida board has turned into a shadow of what it used to be and the PS board is so full of newbs, I don't even bother any longer.

To see the guys flame another hobbyist for the sake of sucking up to a lady is deplorable.  You know who you are.

I know the original poster and if you did, you would not question his credibility at all.

"It is what it is." I'm not certain how someone gets "shouted down" on a discussion board. People do disagree with each other. And, having a personal response to a post and expressing it is not shouting someone down, as long as there is no moralizing, or name calling, or attacking the poster's character. Expressing one's personal response to a post is just part of being in the community. If someone doesn't like something you said in your post, then take their response as feedback. Sometimes it's helpful, sometimes it's not.

Oh, and I find your speaking in vague generalities unhelpful, and what you have described, has not been my experience.

Fully accept and agree with what you say.  IMHO, that's how it should be.  Unfortunately, if you end up with a mod who sometimes aligns with the so-called WK crowd and supports that scenario with his/her ability to delete posts, then you end up with a TER board that is really not being managed consistent with the published TER policy statement.  My 02 worth.

The original poster was complaining about a difference in style that's come to the boards recently. There are many more female posters and fewer male. Read my post above.

The nature of these boards is to seriously critique a provider's looks, ability to fuck, swallow a cock, take a dick in her ass etc. What we get too often is mouthy providers with too much time on their hands, and white knights getting in the way of such discussions.  The top reviewed gals are rarely ever flapping their gums on these boards... rather they are flapping their gums around an engorged cock.  Think about it.

if you don't want to.  Why begrudge others the opportunity to converse and exchange ideas.  There are many threads I never open, other topics I almost always open.  Besides, when i'm setting up an appointment, I enjoy search for post by a provider and getting a sense for her personality from the content and words of post she makes.

There are a variety of boards here, and not one of them is called "Critique a provider's looks, ability to fuck, swallow a cock, take a dick in her ass etc."

This board in particular is a "General Discussion" which, as stated at the top, is for anything related to "the hobby, erotica, and sex". TER did not set this up to be limited to critiquing provider performance. The review section is SEPARATE from the boards. In fact, if you start critiquing the looks or performance of any particular provider on this board, I bet DC would pull it. The boards are NOT for specific reviews.

Then there's the coddling of insecurities.  The typical "Do the providers prefer bald men? Fat men? Hairy men? Big dicks? Small dicks?"  No matter what the insecurity, a flurry of replies from the promot^^^viders will come in with "Oooo, I live bald, fat, hair men with whatever size dick. Cooo. Would you prefer they tell the truth? It has been demonstrated time and time again that if a provider tells the truth they get flamed or worse...it kills business. The ladies that coo coo are doing what is expected of them considering they get reviewed. So if provider A says she finds uncut, fat men abhorrent, what happens if a gent fitting that description visits her..knowing she will put on a good show because she may be reviewed and he, because he was offended at her truthfulness, slams her in his review just to get back at her regardless of how well he was treated?

This board has a way of slapping the ladies no matter what they do or say on here. Frankly, it surprises me there are any women who bother to post. And those that are complimentary and playful are now being slammed.

Nobody is saying it has to be like a locker room.  This is the "other side" argument which often comes to counter the point.

It's the vomit-inducing coo coos from both sides that really just needs to get toned down.
