BITCH = Born In This Century Hook-up

Yes, as we get into 2018, I'll be looking through the ad boards looking for a new provider actually born in this century.  I wonder how long into the year I'll have to wait.

First, most consider the century to begin with the year "1": 1801, 1901, 2001, ...  Centuries end in the 100th year: 1801-1900, 1901-2000, 2001-2100, ...

Someone born in 2001 will turn 17 sometime in 2018.
Someone born in 2002 will turn 16 sometime in 2018.
Someone born in 2003 will turn 15 sometime in 2018.
...
Someone to be born in 2022 hasn't been born yet.

If you consider a child to be 1-year upon birth (as some cultures do), then you can argue the point before a judge because the laws that establish adulthood and the age of consent are based on being 0 years old at the moment of birth.

There was no Year Zero between 1 BC and AD 1.

A funny thing about language is that usage is what gets recorded in dictionaries.  Current recording includes several variants ... a century is any period of a hundred years ... for instance 1918 to 2018 is a century.   Historians define centuries as you have noted.  However common usage includes centuries starting at zero, such as 2000.

It was the BITCH thang I had to say something about, albeit in a lighthearted way! But yippie to those that that find the mature ladies hot as well!

Well I must admit there is an appeal to me. Not specifically due to the relative youth, but just earning a new hobby Merit Badge. I am keenly aware of "1/2 my age", "20 years younger", and "30 years younger."

 
Once you can verify their born in 2000 credentials, there is still an experience level that will likely keep me from earning this new badge for at least of few years.
