Hi,
I am trying to bootstrap my way into this new hobby. It seems any provider with good reviews on TER will always ask for references. Now, since this is my first time, I don't have any references, and because I am not getting any providers, I am still not getting any references. It is a weird vicious circle. How do I boostrap my way?

There are web sites like Room Service 2000 which works as a reference for you, but they take your credit card info, phone number and basically every thing about you. So, it is pretty hard to even have the slightest privacy.

Any suggestions? Do you guys recommend going with sites like Room Service 2000 or the likes? Or is there an easier way?

I'm asked for references only about half the time.  And I doubt everyone that asks actually checks them.  I would expand your search a little.

But I've seen a few well-reviewed providers in my area.  I've called them up and chatted, and not once have I been asked for a reference prior to meeting.  I guess YMMV may be the watchword on this one too.

Many girls who specifically ask for and require references will not see you without them. And I can't advise you to make one up- if you are discovered, you will be blacklisted and will have a much harder time ever seeing a provider. Any lie, no matter what the motivation, is enough to make a provider extremely concerned and cautious. If you are straightforward and offer alternate means of screening, you will find someone who will see you.

There are gals whose contact forms simply require a name, email address, phone number, etc. Every quality/professional girl will require SOME personal info, but not all will require a reference. For example, I will take employment verification along with some personal/identifying info in lieu of a reference for new hobbyists, as will many gals. Offer this info up front, rather than making her ask for it, and you will make a good first impression. If you want her to see you, be honest and offer as much alternate info as you can. For example, I've had a few UW students want to see me, but they are in school and have no real job or references. In that case, I take their name, address, and phone number, and have them email me a copy of their enrollment/school schedule. Then upon meeting they show me their student ID. If you are involved here on TER (which it seems you are), offer her your screen name and offer to send her a PM from your account to verify it is you. As long as a gentleman is courteous and willing to offer enough info to make me feel comfortable, I'm usually able to adequately screen him and feel comfortable enough to see him. The more info you can offer, and the more honest you are, the better.

Another option, if you don't have any luck, is to go with an agency or a massage parlor, as a way to "work up the ladder" and gain a reference in order to see the gal or gals you've had your eye on. Sometimes the provider you want to see most will not be your first provider experience, because it is better to come to her with the info she requires. However, keep in mind that some gals will not accept agency or AMP refs, so if you can find an independent who will accept alternate screening, that will be your best bet. Even a FBSM (massage plus happy ending provider) who is independent and reputable may be a good resource as far as establishing a reference and working up to a GFE or PSE provider. Once you have just one good reference, you will be all set (although you need to make sure you either continue to see that reference on occasion, or gain new ones, as 6 months is usually the window of time in which a reference is acceptable)

As far as giving personal info to Roomservice and other screening services- You will have to give out your personal info no matter how you choose to go about your first hobbying experience. Most agencies and screening services will collect things like full name, address, employer, credit card number (only if you are paying a fee, which you would for a screening service but not an agency) An independent provider will require similar info from you, and will often verify it by checking your driver's license upon arrival. The advantage to provider screening, as long as she is reputable, well-reviewed, and trustworthy, is that most of us do not keep any records or paper trail. Whereas a screening service or an agency may have a more traceable records system. However, be wary of scams on CL (which you should avoid anyways) asking for your Social Security number or Credit Card # for a "screening fee" or "webcam screening." RS2K and other screening services are helpful, but you should know that some providers do not have access or choose to use these services, in which case you may still have to provide other info (ie. employment or references, etc.) Don't assume that because you are an RS2k member that you will not ever need to be screened again. Also, some gals accept RS2k as part of the verification process, but require other info in addition to that.

I began with agencies, I found them to be very discreet. I was very nervous at first but I provided them the information they requested and they verified me.

I am not certain where you live but in the Dallas area I can highly recommend two agencies I have used with excellent results.

Another thought is to start with sensual massages and write reviews on those ladies to build your cred.

Do careful research and find a very reputable, mature provider whom you would trust to give enough personal info so she could verify you via workplace calls (most are very discreet); Sooner or later you will have to trust at least a few with that info. make sure is is willing to provide references. See her, and tip her well enough that she remembers you. Then once she sees you and can verify you, use her as a reference to see others.  In almost every area, there are providers who are so well established that most trust them and will accept their reference.

Thanks for the advice.  This is very helpful.  I am still not exactly sure what a reference is.  If you furnish multiple phone numbers and your employer website and a personal website, is that enough?  Yes,I am a brand newbie and hope to be able to arrange a meeting this weekend.  Any more advice would be great!!
