Thinking about how some societies are fine with women letting their breasts be exposed out in public (think national geographic) as compared to most of the "civilized" world, where they are kept covered for the most part. So how much of the turn on us men get from seeing, touching and sucking breasts is a result of the taboo that's been put on them being displayed in public? (I mean, that Janet Jackson thing would have been a big yawner among the tribes of New Guinea).

The Naked Ape by Desmond Morris.  It's been around quite a while, but some of the points Morris makes are thought provoking.  

I do remember a line from a 60's movie -- I think it might have been Bob & Carol and Ted & Alice -- that said, "If men only wore gloves and women only wore earmuffs, men would spend their lives trying to put their fingers into womens' ears."  I'm not sure I agree, but it's a cute line.
