I've met quite a few wonderful professionals in this industry, some really fun, loving, intelligent and talented folks, so I guess it is about time I got burned...

I emailed a woman who advertised as AlexNYCgurl...got back a really nice pic, set up an appointment 3 days in advance...she raised her rate on the phone by $100, but I figured "what the heck," and of course, never try to quibble or negotiate.

Next day I email to confirm, she responds yes.  So I book a room in a four-star hotel for thurs nite.  She says she'll touch base on weds morning.  I hear nothing.  I email back, she says she'll call by thurs 1pm.  I hear nothing til 3pm. She seems like she's got stuff going on, and like a gentlemen, I offer to push back 7pm date to 8pm.  She says thanks, yes, meet you there.

Bottom line is I'm waiting in the bar for 2 hours, having paid for this $200 room, and her cell phone is off.  I left 2 messages....no response, no nothing.  After 10 pm (I can't beleieve I waited 2 hours) I just said "screw this" and went home.

I know providers get shafted with a lot of no-shows, and I've never done this. I am super-clean, respectful, and reasonably good looking, which any provider with half a brain ought to value.  I often gift a lady with some nice perfume, a bottle of good champagne or some good old extra cash.  

No solutions here, just blowing off steam. To all the good ones out there: thank you.  To irresponsible flakes like "Alex": I hope you learn something when your phone stops ringing.

Boy do I feel for you. Been there myself.  My only advice to you is NEVER pay for a hotel room in advance for services.  I always do incall at the provider's location and will only pay for her services as provided.  There are a lot of flakes in this biz and they think $$$ grows on trees.  I am a professional who can afford $300 / hour and that's my limit.  That is more than most of these flakes would make in a week if they had to get a normal job.  There is an old expression "They will get it in the end" and that will happen to the provider who abused you and your time.

at 1:15 the next day, I get this in my e-mail:

"I'm very sorry about last evening.  The doctors visit took
longer than expected.  Unfortunatly, my cell phone battery died on me while I was at the doctors office.  Since your number was in my phone I couldn't call you to let you know. The medication I took made me very drowsey.  I was going to call you when I got home and charge the phone for a little bit. To
my surprise while waiting for the phone to recharge I dozed off.  The next thing I know it was 10AM."

She's offered to make it up to me....am I a total sucker for considering this, or should I just fuggedaboutit...I'd like to consider the best in human nature...

You know the saying - screw me over once, shame on you, screw me over twice shame on me.  MHO is to forgetaboutit and move on because there are plenty of lasses out there who'll screw you just right.))

It seems she started to mess with you right from the start with her fees, and her phone calls. If it was only a doctors appointment she was at, why couldn't she tell you this at the 3pm call.

I personally would walk away,she needs to be professional.

And remember beside the cash on the hotel...."IT"S HER LOSS"

I'm so sorry that this happened to you.  I agree with everyone you should find another provider and do INCALL. Don't pay for a hotel the first time you meet up with a provider. If I have a client and its OUTCALL I never anymore, get the hotel unless hes a regular client. I too have been stood up and stuck with a room. ONLY once, I too learned from an expensive lesson. If he's new and he wants to meet at a hotel he either gets the room first or I would gladly meet him there and we can get it together, mainly to make him feel comfy that he won't be getting stood up.  I have never canceled an appointment or changed days. Your time is just as important as mine and I'm here to accomendate you not the other way around.

If so, why not!?  If not, cut your losses and move on.  Plenty of quality providers out there who would appreciate and value you as an important client!  *shrug*

Here's a suggestion. Read W. Somerset Maugham's Of Human Bondage, and if you still feel horny, give her a call.

i say do the same to her...book her under dozens of different names and block all her time for other voctims then cancel her last minute and see how she likes it......they are in the service industry and they are not miss america.....and they need to learn that!!!!

My horrible little confession....
I once slept right thru an appointment. I was not at my incall location of course, I was home... and had gone to take a nap at around 4pm, thinking I'd be up looooooong before that 9pm appt. Well, I woke up at around 9:45... I musta been tired =:O

I had myself a total panic attack, ran around in circles for a while, and then emailed him. I could've, and probably should've, called, but a little childish admission... I was scared to death he'd yell at me =:O So I emailed, apologized profusely, and begged him to give me a chance to make it up to him. I did, at a 50% discount on his next visit, and he left happy, so I was glad. *However* I was lucky in a few different ways... this gentleman had not driven far to see me, so wasn't out in a big way for time.  Nor had he paid for an expensive hotel room.  I hardly ever do outcall appointments... I'm just more comfy having my own little place I can make pretty with candles and such, have my own amenities there, etc etc. So she very well may be honest about making it up to you, but since you've already lost $200 on a hotel, why not see if you can come to her?  Ask her to provide a room? That way you're not out additional funds.  And hopefully, you will leave smiling and happy

bad karma, and no good ever comes of being mean spirited.  I'm thinking seriously of giving Alex a call, and if she is sincere, I really hope to post a positive, upbeat and happy denouement.

I agree with your above post with the exception of “she raised her rate on the phone by $100” My Outcall rate was clearly quoted to you via email.  It’s the same as on my TER profile page.  It’s possible you might have gotten it confused with my incall rate.   To Clarify I did Not raise my rate by 100 with you over the phone.   We did not even mention rates during our phone conversation.  Please have all your facts straight before you post.

Freespeech I understand that sometimes our emotions get the better of us.  After what happened I’m sure you were pretty upset and have a right to be.  Unfortunatly some of what happened was not in my control.  We all have a bad day once in a while.  My offer of a make good for you stands.
