On a local board here a retired provider said she will meet one client on Saturday. Isn't that a contradiction? if she is advertising for work it seems to me she is retired until she needs some benjamins.

i don't see anything wrong with coming out of retirement if the need should arise.  in this business providers are always retiring and then coming back again for whatever reason.

some of their clients and don't mind the occasional appointment - as they also enjoy meeting with some of their clients... There is a chinese restaurant near where I live - the owners enjoy my coming to their restaurant - and for the msot part when I see them in town, they always stop and chat - same for my doctor and dentist.... some folks we enjoy knowing and if you get paid for being in their presence, so much the better

SOmeone retires but then picks up private consulting work. Do we jump on them and tell them it's a contradiction? ANd then ask them if rent or the mortgage is due?

Her last post was the most pathetic, announcing how she flew 4 states over to take "new photos" but was retiring at the end of July. Now, in August, she is "touring" lol. I wonder if some of these women realize how fkin stupid they make themselves look whilst touting how "educated" they are. When I retire, I will simply leave. My site will be pulled, my profile will say "retired," and there won't be some big thread about it.

There is a provider in my area who announced her retirement with posting on multiple boards.
Few months go by she comes back but under another name.Who knows she could have had a stalker or something.
What is weird when she came back she has two profiles here both with new provider names both profiles have reviews and different rates.Surprisingly no one has said anything yet it is so easy to figure it out.

Or like Barbara  Streisand with her "last concert". Happens all the time everywhere.

local provider in my area has done the same thing over the last year.  supposed "retirement" but will still see those special clients  with  whom she developed a relationship with.  very picky as to who fits that categor
