at a busy city function...

I nearly ran into a client, literally...if I had been a few seconds slower we would have bashed right into each other...I mimicked his glazed stare off in the other direction quickly look...ha ha...raise your hand if it has happened to you.  It was my first time but I live in a small town so I kind of expect it to happen once in a while.

In any case, yes; I once ran into a provider on Nantucket Island (and no, I'm not the man from Nantucket!)

What was even more coincidental was that I was with another provider at the time, and the provider I was with had introduced me to the provider we bumped into.  You might think that all is swell since they know each other but there is more to the story:

The provider I was with had used the provider we bumped into as a threesome partner; but that partner then started seeing me alone without ever telling the first one, which made the first one resentful, and then the two had a falling out on account of that fact.

It was a bit awkward, if you know what I mean.

near walking collision as the event I am referring to was indoors and movement oriented...I'm sounding like a dope trying not to give out tmi, but yes, there were people mosing around, I just about bumped into someone, only to look up and recognize the face...we were both with other people and had to ignore, but it was funny...it would have been funnier if we actually bumped into each other in this crowd of people...ha ha.

It's such a small town that it doesn't surprise me at all.  If I were still there, I'm sure I'd be a client of yours, and I'm also sure we'd bump into each other around town (in fact, if you hadn't been UTR before this summer, we'd already be acquainted).  There are really only so many places in town to go...

Was this a function at someplace like the Dena'ina Center?  BTW, how's the weather now?

Sorry, I'm actually protecting personal information by not saying where the event was at...and that one is hard to explain...but think Halloween ;)

The weather is VERY cold...barely in double digits, like 12 degrees lately...we had a couple snows but it has not stuck yet.

And yeah, I'm surprised it hasn't happened more, because I run into people I know everywhere I go...but I am a bit of a homebody so there you have it :)

Sorry, I wasn't trying to out any personal info. I think I got your drift anyway :)

Ugghhh, the cold, the dark...I don't miss any of that. Stay warm!

If I do make it back up there on business, I'll be sure to schedule some time with you and we can keep each other warm. I sure wish I knew about you when I was there.

you could have hugged, held hands and sang kumbaya. Do you people ever interact with people in public or is it all behind closed doors. The notion of the “whole world is watching my every move” only happens in “Person of Interest”.

In the real world, people are busy with their own shit to pay attention to others, unless you are celebrity or something.

Generally, this type feelings arise from either paranoia, lack self confidence or both.

In real life no one gives shit about what you do in public as long as you conform to certain norms.

you people?
I'm a normal person and I would be happy to interact with anyone...however, this was a situation where dude was with his family and ignoring me on purpose.  I found it comical.
I don't have any paranoia nor lack in self confidence...you seem a bit jaded there yourself.

And actually, I AM kind of a celebrity in my town, LOL.  I went to a party tonight and was introduced from one person to another as a local music legend...well I wouldn't call myself that, but it's a damn small town here and if you so much as smile brightly you can probably get on tv :)

Geez, chipper up, I was just sharing a funny anecdote...sigh...actually just starting a conversation because I like being the center of attention, LOL.

NYC is a much smaller city than people make it out to be.

Just smile and move on.  No need to make a scene.

those who agree with you “jaded”. Do you even know the meaning  of jaded? How does jaded fit in this context.

Oh, you like to be the center of attention! Why didn’t you say so? In that case;

YOU ARE THE GREATEST!

a blind hallway corner.  Ended up on the ground in in a jumble of arms & legs...  laundry & tools...  she kissed me hard on the mouth.  Thus began a torrid affair that neither of us could control.  It would make a steamy novel blush!   It went on for years...  an open but never confirmed secret...   I finally made a breakup stick, knowing as I long had, that she would never be mine.

I had just checked into my hotel and was waiting for the elevator. When the door opened I saw one of my faves arm in arm with a client headed out to dinner.

We laughed about it later.

she is a hooker. She flat out ran into a former client whilst running around, as we all do. It happens many times if you work too much in your own town, which is why I do not. Other than a former professor, and one who knew my brother lol, I don't often run into too many patrons in public. The point she was making was that the guy was with his wife, and it was comical to watch him sweat whilst ignoring the provider...it is ALWAYS funny in that context lol. Why? Because the man has to act all innocent and loving towards his wife, but the provider knows his dirty secrets. You can't help but think, "Yea, I know how smelly those balls are honey, too bad you have to fk him for free."

unfortunately I live in Alaska where it isn't really possible to travel to nearby cities to avoid seeing people you know, LOL.  Even the people in the nearby cities intermingle, ha ha.

ha ha...yeah everyone who knows me knows I'm all full of myself...i said how I was introduced...I keep a low profile about my stuff...I brought up a funny little anecdote...you jumped down my throat about "you people" this and that...I'd say you are jaded about providors...yes I know what it means...that is how you came across.  But whatevs...if you want to read in a bunch of stuff that isn't there and start an internet squabble I guess you have nothing better to do, and neither do I so there you have it.

I only know of two kinds of Jade.

One is a precious stone mined

and

Second, artificially made to look like the real one.

Which one am I?

One little fact, if you post on a public board, not every open is going to along with you.

Some people here think, calling the poster not agreeing with you, jaded, having a problem, ignorant, rude really matter. To some it may.

You think your post was light hearted and I jumped down your throat, I was also joking because this has come probably million times so, the whole damn thing is joke to me. Grown adults telling fuck board what happened in their real life? Asking a fuck board what they should do? How should they behave in a situation? sound juvenile.

What the heck are you trying to do here? Have relationship which most disagrees with saying, it is simply a business transaction. Fine then, don’t acknowledge in public. Why the big drama?
