I'm surprised that there seems to be a difference in responses in relation to the gender of the posters. The typical response from the guys seems to be either along the lines of 1)good joke, way to liven up and get a rise out of the board, or 2)way too reckless, you're gay, hope our hobby lives never cross.

Now the surprising part comes from the provider, or female posts, which seem to typically state "wow, that's kinky, let's get together". The risk of contracting HIV through unprotected oral sex is exactly the same from a male as a female. The question is, which is more likely to be a carrier? One might argue that the promiscuous tendencies of gay or bi males increases the likelyhood of infection, but by the same token the number of partners and frequency of possible exposure is higher still for many providers.

there is no evidence that receiving a blowjob presents ANY risk for deadly disease. small risk for vd such as chlamydia or gonorrhea may exist but these risks are A) NOT PROVEN and B) TREATABLE. performing the bj is high risk only if you hold the ejaculate in your mouth for an extended period of time against bleeding sores.

I agree its risky for this reason, what of one who serviced you, had sevices just a few minutes earlier someone with one of the teatible forms of VD. OR hepitis,  HIV may be low risk but the others are high risk and one form of hepititis I forget which (think its C is NOT trreatible). I think the risk is far higher than with any provider.
