What I can't understand, is these escort+driver+agency rip offs. I mean really, all that fucking trouble for $200 to $300? All the driving around. The risk, For maybe $100 each? Are they that desperate? The woman would have probably made 5 times that alone. Are they that dumb? What's the motivation?

I got lucky and did my reasearch and started with a reputable screening service that allowed me to get a feel for things and learn how to do my own screening and then went indy..i swear ter is like a secret society and when you dont have reviews and dont know much about screening/advertising its easier to start with an agency.unfortunitley there are a lot of bad people out there though that run agencys and are not fair to the girls,its sad.I would reccomend hobbeist using indy providers any day over agencys! have a great weekend everyone xoxoxo

Drug addicts will do anything to obtain the $ needed for the next fix.  The fact that they could earn more by playing the game right never occurs to them.  Many or most ROB's have pimps, POS BF's, or other bottom feeding enablers that have undue influence over them.  I have personal experience with a best friend who went south on hard drugs, so I have seen this shit first hand.  Not a cool place to be...

On the other hand there are thieves and scam artists, some of whom use (the promise of) escorts as a draw for their crime.

I won't comment on agencies, when comparing those two, but I will comment on the indy.

I don't believe that an indy provider decides between actually providing or becoming a thief posing as a provider.

I think there are ROBs who may occasionally have sex with someone, but I think they are made of different stuff than the true indy.

The scenario that everyone recognizes as making things ripe for the ROB or "agency" ripoff is that the victim won't go to the police.

Agencies make money on volume.  If I as an agency owner snag $100 per appointment, my only concern is how many times I can get the register to ring.  Using the business model you suggest, I could book one provider one time per hour.  If I have 4 providers, my maximum profit is $9,600 per day.  That assumes that I could book them constantly and that they never sleep.  In other words, the maximum is actually quite a bit less.  Now, if I can book them to where they could pull off 3 one hour appointments every hour, I make a lot more money.

You seem to be using the logic that everyone knows about reviews and would never see someone that's a known ripoff.  It simply isn't true.  For those guys with a wandering eye, a thinking brain in their dick and no knowledge of TER or equivalent, they make the call, get ripped off and have nobody to tell.  Most guys won't return home and bitch to their wife or coworker that some whore ripped them off.  The cloak of secrecy is the agency's friend.

I thought of opening an agency in Las Vegas a few years back, but came to the conclusion that the best business model was to fuck the hobbyist hard, and not in a good way.  That's not how I work so I dropped the idea.  Still, the vast majority of agencies there do just that.  With a normal economy and 30-40 million tourists/year, you don't need to worry about repeat business.

Especially here in Vegas minus the 2 reputable agencies that are here in Vegas the rest are worried about how many tourists they can get who do not know any better.The only thing that matters is how many calls are booked not how many repeat customers will they get.
They could care less about TER or any other boards because they know the average tourists is not going to report they were ripped-off,B&S,upsell the tourist just goes home with their pockets much lighter.There are many ladies that do not know even know about TER I used to work for a couple of agencies out here in Vegas before becoming Indy less than 2 yrs ago.I had never even heard of TER or reviews I had absolutely no clue whatsoever.So,some of the ladies who work for these rip-off places who are not reputable all they care about is how much money they are making not about their reputation.Or some ladies just do not know how to be independent it is much easier to let the agencies do the work.
