Another New Rule....

Please I am asking nicely... Please spell the word TONGUE correctly.  I am not to obsessive (well I am actually) but spelling the word as --"TOUNGE" (sp) is killing me slowly and painfully.  I realize no one would or even should care that I might die, but think of the children I will leave behind.  Do it for them.

It is bad enough that many reviewers are spell check challenged but please make an effort.  If you use firefox( the best browser in the world, IMHO) you can import a spell checker to check your spelling for your reviews.

In the effort to be honest, I used my spell checker in this post.

The spelling nazis go on the "Politics and Religion" board.  That's next door in the abuse section.

The Colon
1. Colons frequently introduce a more specific or particular statement that amplifies or clarifies
the preceding one. That which follows the colon may be a complete clause or simply a word or a phrase.

Please! I am asking that the word "tongue" be spelled correctly. I am not too obsessive -- well, actually I am -- but spelling the word as "tounge" {sic} is slowly and painfully killing me. I realize no one should care if I die, but think of the children I will leave behind. Do it for them.

Clothes are made from cloth, I think.  Most people remove "clothes" at the beginning of a session.

Ciara, I love you dearly, but you split an infinitive in your caption, and my third grade grammar teacher told me that's hard to correctly do.

It’s the common addition of malapropisms and detectable hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia that make for a sad indictment of our educational system.

and it also is something with which I will not put up with!

Or more properly;

This is the sort of bloody nonsense up with which I will not put!

While we're nitpicking, has this bothered anybody else?

With regard to the alias, you can only use one "name" on a thread and this is the one I chose for this thread. Otherwise I would have used several.

As a hobbyist, I have no motivation to keep my name before the public so having a variety of aliases is just a part of the fun of being a member of this Board. That said however, I don't like individuals who try to hide behind them to be unkind.

:-)

Oh, with regard to the smiley faces, I don't normally use them. To be honest I think they look a little cheesy but that's just me.
