Did you at least flush before shaving???
Before anyone complains...yes, I searched and done research...and I'm not newbie to shaving. I've been using the Phillips Norelco groomer.
My specific question how people CLOSLEY shave their scrotum and most sensitive areas...the Phillips groomer works but you have to be very careful to get close...and it's very easy to nick. I can't imagine taking an actual razor to that area (scrotum) with out cutting the hell out of myself.
I now it's been discussed frequently...but looking to tweak my "technique"...which takes forever right now.
All comments welcomed!
Gillette gel and Gillette Fusion, stays smooth for a couple of weeks.
use a razor. Sounds scary but to be honest if you do it right you have nothing to worry about.
So, use your trimmer and get it as close as you can. Then get a fresh new razor. Pull the skin of the scrotum tight and straight and go with the grain and not against. The uplift of a hair could cause a nick which is not fun, as well as using a used razor. I have shaved myself for YEARS and shaved a few guys along the way. Always finish by washing well, some shave and leave some hairs behind which can cause what I like to call a cat with a hairball situation which is not fun for either party.
It does take a little bit but is well worth it if you like a girl to gargle your marbles.
I personally don't go clean shaving. I'm kind of a hairy guy so clean shaving that area would make me look completely retarded having a bald spot then hair all around. I'd have to shave my entire body and well... I'm not going to.
I trim it pretty low (a 4 on a trimmer) and I go a 1 on the sack. I will manually cut anything that evaded the trimmer with scissors. It does take time but its pretty safe.
My .02
increase STD risk, risk of other infections, skin irritations that might make one more susceptible, and which might look suspicious to a provider. And micro abrasions do not go away in a day or two.
I will trim my hairs fairly short - not so short as to be bristly. Keep myself very clean.
But no shaving of the package for me.
I love shaved man parts, or trimmed ones at least. I especially love shaved girly bits. I make sure mine is nice and clean and smooth and all nice for you, so I would hope you would do the same for me. Thank the loving lord, most guys do..but sadly some do not.
Happy Shaving!@
Get the Gillette Mach3 Power razor and blades.
The handle has a battery and slightly vibrates the blade.
I thought it was hooey....but a provider turned me onto it after I had complained about hatcheting up the old sack-a-roo experimenting with different brands.
You can either do it in the shower...or sit on the toilet facing the opposite way. Easy to stretch the skin tight and rinse the razor in the bowl.
Easy Peasy....and shave the day BEFORE a date...never the day of. If you nick yourself you'll have to cancel (or should).
Trim and then try nair for men....Clean and smooth.....Painless

I also had concerns about using a razor and after reading about the Phillips Norelco body groomer on several boards I thought it sounded like a good solution. Upon actually buying it and using it I discovered that I was wrong. The clipper part clogs up too easily. Its a pain to have to frequently stop and brush out the cut hair clogging it up. I found that the shaver part worked "ok" but it irritated my scrotum skin and gave me that itchy feeling after every shave.
Then came came the day the trimmer part snagged and literally ripped a small piece of skin off. It was really a tiny injury but OMG... painful and boy did it bleed. Thankfully this wasn't prior to a date and the nick healed without problem.
So that was literally the end of the body groomer.
On another board a hobbyist had mentioned using a Gillette Fusion to shave the boys while showering. The local grocery store had some of the Power Fusions (vibrates via battery power) on sale and I figured I would give it a try.
The first couple times I tried using it I used it outside the shower but after getting more comfortable shaving that area I started shaving during the shower.
Before I get into the shower I make sure the razor is very clean. I rinse it off with hot water, pour some rubbing alcohol over the blades, and then rinse it off again. I replace the blades weekly. I clean the blades to lessen the chance of a nick introducing bacteria and causing an infection.
My usual process is to wash my hair and shower normally. That gives the hot water time to soften the hair up a bit. Then I step out of the shower stream and apply the shaving cream. Any type will work, I use the same sensitive skin formula that I shave my face with.
I shave with the grain, taking light short strokes and rinsing the blades out very frequently. The scrotum itself is very easy to shave in this fashion.
The problem area for me is right at the base of the shaft. This is going be graphic.. Usually I'm semi-erect at this point. I use one hand to pull my penis up against my pelvis angled first to the left side and then carefully shave the exposed area. Then I hold it to the right side and shave the other side. The few times I've nicked myself it always happens in this area. I learned that short light strokes work the best for me to avoid nicks.
I shave the boys every time I shower unless I'm really running late or showering for a second time that day. The first couple of weeks it added a lot of time to my shower routine but after getting more used to it that has decreased.
I invariably wind up missing a hair or two when I shave in the shower so about once a week I take the increased time to shave outside the shower to make sure I get everything. If I have a hobby date I do this the evening before the date and then don't shave again before the date.
After shaving this way for several weeks I took a little hobby break and stopped shaving.. that was a mistake.
One problem with shaving down there that you don't hear much about is folliculitis - irritation or infection of the hair follicles. The best way to avoid it is to NOT shave. The second best way is once you start shaving.. keep shaving (with a very clean razor) because often it is the hairs that start growing back and then curling back into the follicle that causes it.
So far I think shaving is worth the effort. It definitely seems to get the boys a lot more attention than they got previously and the attention feels much better.
It works just fine with some Edge gel. I shave about once a week even if I don't have a date that week. If it gets too long, it's a pain to shave. I used the Body Groomer to trim the first time, now just shave.
Keep the bush trimmed too. Got some compliments on the shaved balls from the ladies.

I use Avon "Skin So Soft" hair removal cream and follow up with "Skin So Soft" hair minimizing lotion. This will take ALL of your hair off, and is good for about two months. The minimizing lotion feels very good on the balls, and claims to make hair softer and finer.
I always wondered how you men shaved down there. I thought the ball region was somewhat sensitive and a razor would be hurtful.
I know a gent who uses the Nair Bikini, and it works just fine. No cuts or razor bumps, just wipe away....I use it as well
