There is also a wiki on prostitution in Ireland that you might take a quick look at as well. Seems to be a bit like Canada in that prostitution is legal (not quite the case in CA) but paying can get you a problem. Seems that it's purely a fine so no jail but still would have something on your record. But I saw something about the number of cases that have been prosecuted and was something like 12 in 2019 (?) and up to 70 something in 2021 (?). Unless there are just not a lot of action there those seem like really low numbers.
