Spot on.  There was a small informal "club" in DC that paid a going rate of $25K per night, and the nights were very often anout 4 to 6 hrs long.  It was all about ego and braging rights.

That would be a year's budget for me, but my ATF would occasionally play in that game on a fill-in basis.  The rest of the time she had to work UTR with a different name at the more typical 250/hr rate (it was a few years ago, that class of lady would be 300-350 in today's DC.  She had to hide her second persona from the "club" or they would have been embarrased to be seen with her.
