What are the pros & cons.

Whether we work for an agency or are independent we are all pros.  However, some others may have been convicted of crimes and they can be both a pro and a con.

Well there are the obvious reasons.  One as an independent I am working for myself and answer to no one. I make my own schedule, qualify my own customers. Some agencies don't look out for the provider's best interest. Many of them 'oversell' the provider saying she will do this and that which she won't. Or of course you all know about the underselling aspect. I have never worked for an agency and never will.

I prefer to be independent to see who I want, when I want.  I am not into seeing several clients in one day. (No judgement - just not my thing).  I enjoy the relationships I have with my clients and with an agency, I don't know that it would happen.  As with everything else, I thinkit just a matter of personal preference.
