In light of all of the seemingly rampant
discourse as it relates to some Hobbyists dissatisfied with Providers requiring
Deposits, why would anyone use an
"Agency" to "Play"?

In my experience;  Agency Clients tend to
be "Newbies".

( I began employment with an Agency
here in San Diego, upon my initial foray
into this business, thus I'm a bit omniscient )
       
 👀  Agencies  require  a  Booking  with  IRL  "Information  Real  Life":
 
A)  Your  "Government  Name"
B)  DOB
C)  Copy  of  Driver's  License  (Kept on-file)
D)  Credit  Card   (Kept on-file)
E)  Non-Refundable,  Substantial  Deposit    commiserate  with  number  of  hours
Booked  + a   "Cancellation  Fee"  atop  the
Deposit  

F)  If  Booking  is  "multiple  hours",
payment-in-full  is  required  (I'm  "on-board")

G)  Agency  Rates  per  Provider  are  rarely
an  "All-Encompassing"  Fee-----    
Upselling  is  the  name  of  this  "Game"  and  everything  is  an  "Add-0n"  "Upcharge".

TER seems like a very clear choice to safely, confidently book!

I've also been with a streetwalker. But just one. Early on.
I've been with Indies.
I've been with agency girls.
I've been with putas in Costa Rica and Panama.
It's all good.

I wasn't a newbie.
I wasn't required to give ANY real ID. My TER history was adequate.  
I never gave a deposit.  
I was never upcharged.

 
Met some beautiful women. Unfortunately,  those agencies have not survived.

I have used both agency and Indy. I have been asked for way more from most Indy ladies. The only item from your list that agencies usually ask is my full name. I have not been asked of anything else you mentioned. And, I have not been upcharged by agency ladies.

Yet I'm in with many agencies. Prior to covid at least in my neck of the woods most Korean agencies didn't have upcharges. Msog, cim, bbbj and even bbfs were all included in the 220 price.

My Nino has always went to Mexico 🇲🇽 if he wanted to get laid by an escort. Mexico has different rules. I've never heard of any issues in Mexico getting entertainment. I think it's all on who you know and are you savvy?

I started as an agency provider in San Diego back in 2001. I worked for seven agencies total. The upsell is a hustle. I prefer being independent. I love vetting my own potential new friends!

If I booked a lady through an agency and she did that, I would be done with that lady and that agency. That’s greed at an unreasonable level. I’m guessing with the shift to so many agencies focusing more on the customer experience, that’s less common. This may also factor into the rate surge. At $200-$300, even 10-15 years ago, more of a need to upcharge, especially if an agency is taking a piece of the action. With rates surging into the $700-$1000 and higher range, there is less of a need to upsell and possibly more concern on curating returning customers.

I had utilized two agencies fairly regularly. Then there was one called Fog City Escorts out in CA who repped some really nice porn stars. I saw Tia Gunn and Fantasia thru them (both 90s slim n' stacked starlets). That was probably in the '05-'08 range. There was never a single time when I was required to show any proof of ID. Zero deposits. Absolutely no bullshit whatsoever (which includes upselling). Relatively pleasant experience all around from each of them, and some of the most beautiful women I have ever been with. Especially this one agency called Adorn. I did not like the madam. She was a tad cunty. But she could pick herself some prime pieces of ass. Seriously hot women.

 
But that's now considered ancient history even tho it's not really all that long ago.

 
I would hate to see anyone, whether they be from an agency or indy, put a client through the ringer and then attempt to nickel and dime them. Men are idiots tho, so I'm sure these people will continue to get business, tho it may slow down a bit as word gets out. Unfortunate bullshit that's tolerated by far too many gents.

Ive had the same experience. SN was ultimately all i needed to provide.

*many* of these are basically brothels set up in apts. Thinking about the busts in Boston, Cambridge and DC, with customers names ending up being the papers. These set ups are very high volume and who knows if the ladies working are truly free to make choices like BBing. Blue mouthwash does not make it safer, lol.  

Yet guys continue to throw caution to the wind and go for it all.It boggles my mind. I'm at the stage where I see maybe 2-4 gents if I'm local per month. I travel lees but when I do, I see 1, maybe 2 gents max daily. Most are longer engagements, including dinner. I may have a 2 hr or 90 min early in the afternoon, followed by a dinner date type date. Some days only the longer engagement.  

But that's just how I roll now because I can...

All agencies are not created equal. Sounds like you've had some bad experiences.

Yes, they are. Some girls are cfs only.

The very rare "agency" that requires bb as being part of it, also won't force anything. It will only accept those who offer it so if you don't, then you don't.

But like folks said, agencies can be very different dependent on who runs it.

Agencies ALWAYS take almost all of the "action".  
When I was employed by one their "take" was  
80%, thus the necessity to "upsell".

Everyone can cherry pick their own special example but I don't think you're doing more than pushing a fear angle and "dising" the competition here Steph.

 
Yes the bust 2 years ago or more did have some people listed but it seems very unique to Boston/Cambridge political position (and included at least one elected politician -- who seemed to still have some support from his constituents).  No one in Virginia was listed or ever even investigated. In general the girls working at these agencies be a pass where as the indies will not if they get busted. And the guy that is present in any bust or sufficient evidence is collected during the investigation of an indie faces the same risks as any agency client.

 
As a data counter point -- and this is by no means a recommendation to anyone to act in any way -- I think 4 agencies that have had my contact information over the past 15 years have been busted. Not once has LE come to look for me or has my name been reported in association with those investigations. Why? I can tell you that it's not because I would be hard to find; they have my real phone number. But I am just not someone that would get anyone a promotion, a pat on the back or anything else like that. Pretty much every one of the guys named in the Cambridge bust had some type of news value in that area (military connection, university connection, business owner, politician).  

 
As for the "do they have a choice" question. I'm sure there are trafficked women at certain agencies, and these are the agencies it would be nice if LE could focus on. I'm not sure they do though. As far as the Korean agencies go, yes the girls can make their own choice there and typically the agency will make it clear on the ad what they offer. When talking with one the ladies a few years back, when BB was really growing as an openly offered service, she was worried as she doesn't want to offer it. But she was not worried about the agency forcing her to offer it. She was worried that too many guys would want that so she would not be able to make a living without offering it.That is a very different situation than saying agencies are forcing the girls to offer a service they don't want to offer.

In my prolific career, I have only used two or three agencies so not a lot of experience on this front.  But I must say that 100 Proof was very unintrusive and easy to get verified.  Great communication on his part and will be using them again next time in Las Vegas.

I've only used two agencies in Las Vegas in over 20 years of hobbying and neither asked for the information that has been posted. The first, The Maids, went out of business many years ago and the 2nd is still around and known as the best agency in Las Vegas - 100 Proof. Never have had an issue with the ladies from there and there is absolutely zero upsell.  
Like anything else you have to do your due diligence in selecting an agency, but you won't go wrong with 100 Proof in Las Vegas.
