It was DONE two years ago and ABC decided not to air it. A few new interviews were done to make it relevant to the Spitzer angle but the show was in the can and dead in the shelf a long time ago.

What a Bitch!!!!  I used to like Diane Sawyer but her obvious attitude toward providers and their past is &&(^%^^&% unbelievable.

The one independent provider who voiced her contentment with her line of work was continually met with Diane. S response "I can not believe  there no trouble brewing inside of you?"...WTF??

She even went so far as to question whether or not the ex governor of NYC questioned Ashley regarding age, treatment by agency, does she get paid and should she be on the stroll........ Duhhhh, this is America!! The agency is getting paid over $5000 per visit, granted the provider wont get the bulk of the money but she is getting a fair share.  Lastly, Ashley does not look like she is anywhere near under 18yrs old.

Hate to vent but the portrayal of the hobby was so desperate and sad....did I mention what a nagging Bitch I thought D. Sawyer is = )?

God I forgot all about it...shit!!! I wanted to see that too. Oh well probably better I didn't it would have only pissed me off.
See I am ok now and won't have that to bitch about...hmmm I am sure I can find something though ( kiddin)

Was all crap -

Yes.. a street walkers is in a bad situation walking the streets- and yes- its pretty kewl and you make lots of money working in a Bunny Ranch -

I wonder who didnt know that across america LMAO -

I had to laugh when one bunny ranch girl thought 500 was alot of money for the day- Jesus - Id hide under a rock if I was only making 500 a day-

I was pretty sure I wasnt going to learn anything I didnt already know, wasnt going to see anything honestly portrayed, and NO...I would be very unhappy with $500 a day. How anyone in this business can see that as a great day is beyond me. Where do they find such dumb woman.
Almost all the ladies I have been fortunate enough to associate with in this business are smart, sweet good business woman.  Thats just stupid.

... and the women I've met are all you mentioned plus they know how to please a man as well as make him feel like a king during the time they spend with him.

Street walkers and Ranches-

Who the CRAPPITY SMACK cares !
Old shit, old news-

Nothing informative, nothing new.. they showed a high end call girl for 30 seconds-

She isnt even high end - shes 300-400 like the rest  of us -

High end is not 300 -
High end to us or anyone else is thousands an hour -

Sheer - Diane sawyer has been in so much legal trouble due to her shoddy reporting , I knew nothing informative or good would come out of it -

Then they said : Offensive material when the hour struck 10pm.. "

I didnt see any ! LOL!

As an ABC reporter(before marrying Nichols) she used to sneak into a plush DC hotel for trysts with what's his name(top state dept official and later,Clinton's UN ambassador. Not hard to decipher the quid pro quo....the moral:

Some provide for cash and some for news scoops! LOL

It was interesting to see that one guy pay 20K for one night at the bunny ranch. The one provider talked about how she turned down a $2 million exclusive contract for a year because she like her independence being a provider. She really enjoyed being a provider. The rest of the show was negative I only saw the last 40 minutes of the show.

Diane was trip with her facial expressions. I guess so when she decided to show the worst of the worst drug addict parts, with that one heroin addict saying oh "Here is one of regulars".

I watched it with my son and his conclusion was never to buy it off the street.

And for that 2%, Diane Sawyer kept trying to convince the one and only one independent provider that she couldn’t possibly be happy or successful

Welcome to world of investigative reporting in the main stream media with a predetermined outcome.

2) i'm not mad they  are not trying to glamourize, mainstream it or make it look like a legit profession.  it's not like we as providers need 10,000 new escorts on the market.

Yes how they reported it doesn't surprise me...showing mostly street walkers.  But it just shows that really don't have a real clue as to what is going in America and this business. Which means they will leave us alone hopefully.

If they did know the real story they would be surprised for sure.

If you ever want to "thaw" out come see me in sunny, warm Phoenix.

But it's true do we REALLY want them to know about us and how it all works.

The providers that most of us see with the help of reviews with TER are not the 'hookers', 'streetwalkers' etc.  The advent of TER and other such boards has really changed everything and has created two stratas of the hobby (high/mid end and the lowlife).  While this issue got placed in the public eye for a moment by a higher end provider and her high profile client, it will be (ironically) that end of the industry that will continue.  I still see this whole affair as a boon for the independents (yeah!).  WHile I have seen around 40 providers, I only once unwittingly booked an hour with a whore (where is the money, let's get this over with, goodbye).

Excluding all common bias that she presented, Diane accidentally did a believable job to raise awareness on some other social problems exist in this country for a long time ------ child abuse, poverty, drug abuse...etc. All she did was that she exploited the life stories from those women for sensational rating purpose. Her journalistic skill is overrated.

I heard that as well. It was Her pet project  and until This the network said No No No. Their advertisers would not go for it. So Now all the advertisers wanted to be a part of the time slot. See how easily they change their minds when it looks like it may benefit them.
We all knew it would not shine a good light on what we know and Love...so no surprise here.

remember 5 or so years ago the couple that had their child abducted from the yard by a child molester and all she could talk about was that this couple tended to "swing" on occassion.  Nice interview c_ _ _ t.  whoops.

I had no intention of watching it.  I had people calling me to "turn on channel ..blah blah.."  I knew if I watched it I would get pissed.

We are all not subjects of child abuse.  Inscest.  Molestation.  Drug Abuse.  Rape.  etc etc....

We are normal every day people, just like Diane Sawyer, we just chose a different road.  So leave us the F*** alone.

We do what we do to live and pay the bills.  So Im not in a corner office anymore, I dont work 8-5 Mon-Fri anymore...I did, I hated it and I wont go back.

Am I strung out on drugs?  Nope.  Was I molestes by my Dad as a child?  Nope.  Am I a runaway?  Nope.  Did someone drug me and give me to a pimp?  Nope.

Get over it Diane!

Here's what they would have to do to make a positive assessment of the business:

First, they'd have to doubt what the "experts" say. The "experts" being only the ones who have never been in the sex industry themselves.

Second, if they doubt those experts, they'd have to go only with what people in the business say, which, in other words, grant them status the public doesn't want to grant them.

If they did this, the public would throw a fit, and I mean, probably would start a boycott till the show was retracted. Remember, the reason for the show is ratings. This would be counter-productive.

If there's any balanced reporting about the sex industry, it would be from something other than the networks. They don't have the balls to do it.

What's really sad is, they don't have to do a lot of work these days to find out what real "experts" say about the industry. Sex workers have blogs these days.

He's got a show, he's for it, he's hilarious and he's on HBO.

Is the media's reflection towards the hobby going to change?  Do they have an open mind here?  Of course not!  They regard us hobbyists as perverts who deserve to be considered the equivalent as rapists and murderers, and our lovely providers as aliens from another universe whom are sub-human.  As a middle aged human male with what I think is a healthy libido, I resent the horsesh*t these socialist a-holes continue to spew...and that voting in Obabma will restore Camelot (sorry for going political, but it's part of my point here!  And I did vote for Obama...as voting against the Clinton/Bush hegemony is a patriotic duty as I see it).  Controlling access to sex is just as important to libs as well as the social conservatives (meaning, no sex for you if you are not married, and even then once a month, no oral, only mish, and be done in less than three minutes), as an unhappy populace is easier to lie to, and manipulate.  At the same time, these people shamelessly play the game, while telling you that you can't, and need help if you feel otherwise.  Hypocrites deserve only contempt, which is how I regard much of the media and gov't., and have throughout my adult life.

You are allowed to vent...we appreciate hearing your thoughts.  Hope I didn't go over the top myself...

The people on our side need to do a lot more venting.  I purposefully did not watch it because it was too predictable and I knew it would be totally one-sided.  There is a tremendous force against this and they will lie and conflate (with a Bible in thier hands) to any extent to get thier way.  They dont see the sin from thier own mouths while they do it.

Diane Sawyer does not care about the women.  She cares about using the issue and its illegality to get ratings.  Anyone who opposes prostitution does not care about the women or they would look at the inconvenient truth in Nevada and see that is where the protection for women is.  They dont want to see it.

and she worked for RICHARD NIXON (supposedly the sexiest man who ever lived) in the White House!

Because she comes from a different environment I did not expect her to say anything different. People outside the hobby see this activity totally different than the people involved in it.
