What do you make of a provider who gets offended when I ask her if she gets tested--after we accidentally do it bare-back (following a night of drinking)?

Following a night of drinking is a piss pure excuse for going bare-back.  You offended each other. In this hobby you should assume neither one of you has been tested.

Of course she "gets tested"...  the question should have been "when was your last test?"  Even then, does it matter?  If you are concerned, it does not matter when she was tested, you should just go get yourself tested.

I wouldn't assume that she gets tested.  If she's dumb enough to fuck a customer bareback she's dumb enough not to get regular STD testing...

And the question -- when was the last time she got tested -- is kind of stupid because if you think about it; STD tests often don't show antibodies for certain diseases for months.

And even though she may be a pro; if she's prone to getting wasted and going bareback -- you just hit the reverse lottery.

Now -- as to whether or not she should be offended ... IMHO her propensity to being offended is likely inversely proportional to the odds she has a special present for you.

That is, even though the question is stupid and in and of itself reveals an amazing lack of knowledge of STDs and STD testing; a real pro would seize the question as a teachable moment to improve your level of knowledge.

Remember sex ed in school?  A provider is a professional sex worker. She should be pleased to provide a little sex ed. And sex ed primarily concentrates on prevention of STDs.

It doesn't matter, if he shot his load in her or not. Just being in there with out protection can cause BOTH people exposure to everything. Bodily fluids of all kinds are the danger.

okay, first and foremost, i can only speak for me and not anyone else. What i say here is just my quaint 1.2 cents....i dont claim to be better than anyone..nor smarter. Just keeping things on the real.

okay. there is a reason why bareback (i dont even like typing the word) is so taboo. Using the excuse of being drunk just doesnt fly with me. Why? No matter how darn drunk I am (and i have drunk grown men under the table before) I have never allowed anyone access without proper protection. No bullshit. There is a tiny part of my brain (the part that loves me too damn much to allow me to harm myself) that clicks into play and sobers me up enough to handle things.

now, this chick got offended because you asked her to get tested? how nasty. she needs the shit kicked out of her (excuse me while i grab my skillet)and she needs to understand a few things. There are too many, and I do mean too many diseases out there..hell, there are diseases only women can get..from a man who carries it!(even though he may not have the disease) Hell, i use protection and I still get tested every three months. Why? Because I have a responsibility that I take very seriously..to myself, to my clients and to my friends.

Now, what to do about this situation you find yourself in?

First and foremost, accept blame for your lack of judgement. Why would you let her get drunk anyways if you were with you? Was this planned?
Secondly, tell her to be a grown woman and accept her professional responsibility. If she refuese, then there is nothing you can do but warn others of her lack of concern for her safety..and those of others. Dont just throw her under the bus...as you are to blame as well.

I dont claim to be better than anyone else, or smarter. But stupid people annoy me. Get yourself tested, be very careful and you may want to kick her to the curb..and never see her again.

that drinking was the cause of YOUR poor judgement, then perhaps drinking was poor judgement as well. You both chose to drink, and you both chose to act irresponsibly. Now, you both have another choice to make. Accept your responsibilty, and get tested. Hopefully, there will be no serious consequences for either of you. It's not a question of whether she was offended or not. I don't give a fat frog's ass about offending her, or hurting her feelings, or yours, for that matter. We're all offended.

Dosn't take a genius really...I once knew a guy who worked at a condom factory...it's not all that romantic according to him.

It should be a no-brainer to get tested at least bi-monthly in this arena.
