Guys-
When you read through reviews as a means of RESEARCH, rather than entertainment, which do you prefer???

A- Short reviews that get to the point with acronyms, but give you zero detail – leaving the review rather vague overall.

B- Medium length reviews that include all the details that the short reviews leave out.

C- Long reviews that include all the details you’d ever care to know and then some.

D- Something I haven’t considered above.

2nd Question-
Does the issue of – whether the review is positive or negative – have an impact on the amount of detail you desire from a review???

What do you think?

I like detailed reviews.  Without details--especially information about what is on the menu like DFK, BBBJ, etc.--a review doesn't help me know if she is a provider I'd enjoy spending time with.

I believe the more detail the better. It cant hurt.

Also, if there are several negative reveiws and plenty of positive ones, I seem to question if it was due to a bad day or was the provider just not interested in the client.

my 2 cents.

I like reviews that say enough for me to decide if I think I'd have a good time. Duh?!  I mean if a  review says BBBJTC, DATY was allowed, covered for CG, finished in Mish and rated her a 9 I really don't get the feeling that I learned much.  I read one of these and am dissappointed.  However if there are a limited amount of comments that draw me into the session in some way I like that better.  Too much gushing about how wonderfull she is and too many words are negative.  So..medium in length with some detail and some hint of what was on the menu.

As for the second question...I guess if the review is negative in terms of ratings, I don't bother to read much unless it's one that stands out from a sea of great reviews.  Then I may read it but take it with a grain of salt.

For me, it's something between A and B. The acronyms are important because it's important not to have false expectations when making an appointment. But I really don't need a review that reads like the writer's bad attempt at a porn novel. Besides specific acronyms, I also want to see information on the provider's personality. Was she business-like? Friendly? Girlfriend-like? Cold?

Most important, however, is that a review should be honest.

Pauliewalnuts' reviews are some of the best ones on these boards. That man knows how to write. But please don't take my word for it, look up his reviews. I keep waiting for a compilation of his reviews to come out soon.

Probably it's somewhere between the B/C range, mostly depending on how it's written.  My own peeve about some reviews are when the guy writing it spends more time talking about himself than he does about the gal.

I enjoy reading lengthy reviews that provide detail and also talk about the atmosphere of the date.

Reviews written with eloquence, class and intelligence are interesting and provide valuable information.

Some of my favorite reviewers are paulie walnuts, fortitude and 1way.

I wanna know your emotions as well as the overall atmosphere.  The acronyms will explain most of what went on, but I also need to know HOW she did those actions (slow, fast, wet, with moaning....)

Simple, research requires data.

I know this topic comes up frequently, and I don’t understand the large numbers of people who seem to want very brief acronym lists only.  I expect I’m probably missing something here.

If a review is too long or covers things that are not important to me, I can disregard them and all it’s cost me is a few moments of time.  If the data isn’t in the review, I have no recourse.

If the text is nothing more than a rehash of the facts available in the search options, why write it?  When I read the review I want to get a feel for the things I don’t already know from the search options.  I like to read about the setting (clean, sparse, noisy), the ease of contact and arranging the date, her personality, her likes and dislikes (different in many cases from what she does or doesn’t do), etc.

I’m glad to see that others feel the same way.  I think that the enthusiasm we put into reviews has a huge impact on whether or not we get our point across.  Acronyms are of course a vital part of a good review, but acronyms alone don’t tell the story.  It’s the details, or lack there of, that makes me decide if I should pick up the phone and call her, or keep on reading.  I think information about a providers personality and attitude are just as important as – if she gives a CBJ or BBBJ.  It’s not just what she does, but how she does it.

Refreshing input – thanks everyone!
