There is a room, with 3 lights, the light switches are out side of the room,
you may enter the room once, and you may turn on and off  the switches only once. How do you find out which switch goes to which light?

Turn on two lights. Leave them on for a while.

Now turn one of them off.

Go into the room.

One bulb is still lit, the other that was turned on is still warm.

I'd look through the window.

Just open the door and watch the lights as you flick each switch on and off once.

Turn on all three switches, go into the room, exit and turn off all the lights. Wink!

You fill the 3 gallon, pour it into the 5, fill the 3 again, pour that into the 5, that will leave one gallon in the 3 gallon jug. Pour out the 5 gallons, pour the one gallon from the 3 into the 5, fill the 3 gallon again and pour it into the 5 gallon.
