There is a room, with 3 lights, the light switches are out side of the room,
you may enter the room once, and you may turn on and off  the switches only once. How do you find out which switch goes to which light?

Turn on two lights. Leave them on for a while.

Now turn one of them off.

Go into the room.

One bulb is still lit, the other that was turned on is still warm.

You have a 5 gallon jug and a 3 gallon jug.


Using only those jugs, how can you get exactly 4 gallons into the 5 gallon jug?

BTW, that first riddle is a well known Microsoft interview question  :)

You fill the 3 gallon, pour it into the 5, fill the 3 again, pour that into the 5, that will leave one gallon in the 3 gallon jug. Pour out the 5 gallons, pour the one gallon from the 3 into the 5, fill the 3 gallon again and pour it into the 5 gallon.

Does this mean I'm ready for Microsoft? lol
