I suppose if someone responded early in the life of the thread, using an alias, and had poster's regret, telling you directly might be a reasonable response.
Likewise, if your approach was an unpopular one (personally I like that about a lot of your postings, but I'm weird that way) I can imaging someone wanting to agree, missing the balls to do it publicly, and just plain not thinking of using an alias.
The part that's tough for me is why a guy would pretend not to be an asshole. I can be one at times, but don't think it defines me. A different layer of the little phil onion is a great guy (although afraid to say it, LOL), and thankfully the great ladies of TER are glad to acknowledge that part of my wallet, er, personality.
I have often wondered why some people will PM me with the verbal equaluvent of a high five, but not publicly post those sentiments on the discussion board? You can use a fake alias, instead of your real alias, if you are trying to carefully manicure your persona to the ladies who know your alias.
I've had threads that generate all flames and even more PM applause. I don't mind the flames or disagreement, otherwise I'd post links to other people's ideas all the time or suggest fuzzy and cute hypothetical situations.
Awhile back, I even had one person blast me on this board and then PM an apology stating they actually agree with me. Geez, if you are gonna be that way, wear an apron. My testicles were zippered away in a purse too, but I can still remember having them and I can extrapolate from those fond memories.
Anyway, keep the cards and letters coming. I just wondered what the motivation is for men to behave like this in situations that don't really require it. The ladies who do it, I don't question. They are perfect just the way they are.

Some people just don't want to own their own words. I've made a stupid post or two that I've apologized for, but I own every one of them and I have never retracted a single one,not even the stupid ones.
... and NOT for their sparkling personalities! The men here who act all self-righteous are mostly putting up a facade, because they want to meet the ladies who post on this board. They think the session will be more "special" if they act like White Knights in public.
Believe me, it's every TER-poster's dream to receive a PM from one of the women on this board, and to be told that she's just dying to meet with him in person because of his last kind-hearted post, and even though she lives in Anchorage and he lives in Orlando, she's going to drop everything and fly across the country to meet him. And because she just LOVES his TER persona, she's going to do him for half-price! Dream on, guys. The fantasy of being pursued and desired is powerful, but for most men, it's just that: a fantasy. If you want to see someone here, just send her an email or a PM and don't worry about your TER posts. Your money's still green. Just be honest and be yourselves. Otherwise what's the point of seeing providers?
