It's very clear from the two threads below that there are strong opinions and concerns about the cancel and/or no show situation and what to do about it.  However as I read through the discussions I don't get a good feel for just how prevalent this problem is for both the ladies and gents.  I realize that many will say that once is once too many which is certainly an understandable perspective.  But yet my curiosity continues to burn...just how often are we all experiencing this nightmare?

So my poll question is straight forward if you are inclined to contribute.  Assuming that a date has been confirmed and mutually agreed upon, for both the men and ladies I ask:

A:  To the best of your ability how often have you encountered a cancel with either pre-notice or followup notice?

B:  To the best of your ability how often have you encountered a no show, no notice situation?

My replies:

A: 7%
B: 3%  

The first counts rescheduling.

and my answers would be the opposite of yours - the noticed cancellation is about 3%; the no-notice no-show is about 3X that.  I don't regard a noticed cancellation as a no-show unless you're already on the road, and many of these just reschedule.  It's the no notice issue that's the problem.

Outcalls seem much more likely to no-show, and that's just part of the reason I prefer incall.  But even the incalls no-show surprisingly often, maybe 10%.

Now the sample you're getting from me doesn't include any $500/hr providers.   For that money, they're insane to no-show.  For that money, I'm insane to pay.   I like a nice body, but I don't like one that's totally full of herself, either.

Just a wise-ass joke folks. No harm intended.  It's Election Day and we'll have enough to get pissed about tomorrow...

To the best of my recollection:

A) 1 - Provider was a few minutes late but called beforehand (lost)
  1 - Provider was a few minutes late but given the weather, no harm, no foul
  1 - Provider called, said she was going to be a little late, didn't show up until well over two hours later (flake)
  1 - Provider had an emergency and tried to email me but I had no Internet access; finally got a hold of her via phone and rescheduled

  2 - I was a few minutes late (lost, visiting a different city)
  1 - I was about a half hour late (got caught up in a book during lunch - yeah, I'm a dork)

B) 1 - Provider NCNS (woman at number said they were closed and no one had gone out that night)

  1 - I NCNSed (never got the confirmation email from the provider so I believed no date was set)

Please excuse the lack of percentages.  I have no idea just how many dates I've had over the years.

Since I don't see ladies that often (lack of funds currently, it's a really big event in my life) a few cancellations can skew things greatly.

The way the question was worded, it looks like reschedulings should count.  I set an appointment with one of my favorite ladies, and then she got sick and rescheduled, then I got sick and rescheduled, then she got her period early, so we rescheduled, then I had a close relative tragically die.  

I had one lady cancel twice when I was literally driving to meet her.  

The no call no shows I had were both from the same lady-- within the same week.  Six months later, she sent me a message where she apologized profusely, telling of a relationship meltdown.  

Part of the value of TER is to avoid these situations.  I live in a small town, I often may drive an hour or an hour and a half for a session.  I have had on several occasion, the provider not answer her phone when I arrive...stood up.  Then I have the 1 1/2 hour drive home..empty.  Or the switch, get there and its a different girl.
Major bummer.
How do you protect?  Make several appts with 3-4 girls, and hope that one well show up and then call and cancel the rest.  I know the providers dont like this, but it is brought on my the flaky providers.
If I see a well researched provider on here, it obviates the above and MOSTLY all are happy.
