If you had to put each of your hobby experiences in one of the following categories, what would the breakdown be?
Very satisfying
Somewhat satisfying
Not satisfying
I know these categories are not defined very well (especially the line between very satisfying and somewhat satisfying). For me, I'd say the breakdown is about 30 - 60 - 10
If I had that poor a batting average, I would think about taking up a new hobby. I damn sure wouldn't be throwing away several hundred dollars an hour to have two thirds of my experiences either somewhat, or not satisfying at all.
I would say that three quarters of my experiences are very satisfying, slightly less than one quarter are somewhat satisfying, and only a very small handful are not satisfying at all.
I also suspect the OP is seeing gals from BP and they were not reviewed prior?
I can count on one hand the number of experiences I've had in over 30 years of playing that were less than satisfying.
But then I've not ventured into the world of searching for that "gem" that some fellas seem to find exciting. Or in the OP's case...a waste of time and money LOL

Of all my play dates, I would say 95% were very satisfying, only 5% were somewhat satisfying and I have not had any that I would classify as not satisfying

My experiences have been improving dramatically this time around.
and you will have chance of improving your experience. Although its not a guarantee, you will certain leave with a better experience.
"Ecstatic". "Very Satisfying" doesn't adequately describe most of my encounters, especially the first several and the last "too many to count" The first several, all they needed to do was get naked. lol And the last "too many to count" is because of TER and others. Yes, I do think reviews are important. I am more of a 7/7 guy than a 10/10, as I prefer "the girl next door" type and none of my neighbors have been 10/10s. With that being said: 90/5/5 or 80/10/5/5

Have been very satisfying but that's because I tend to stick with girls who I like and repeat with them rather than experimenting as much as I did maybe 8 or 10 years ago. Probably 80-15-5.

Biggest issue is using BP. Second issue is the lack of proper screening and review. Third is Operator Error. Please check out the newbie section for helpful hints of the proper use of technology to make the most of the game. Asking a question shouldn't be a problem, but just ask it in the right area.

Backpage is very tempting I know, but if you are in this for excellent experiences sticking to providers with at least a few reviews and those who are members of verification services like P411 will keep you much more satisfied.
It's also worth saving for somewhat more expensive providers that you see less frequently. No price will guarantee a great experience but it increases the odds and generally indicates you'll at least be in a nicer environment. It's a lot easier to tolerate a so-so encounter when the room at least is pleasing to be in
